  1. Differences between popular TT Balls?

I noticed that on Ali, the Yinhe h40 actually costs more than the dhs d40. Is it considered a better ball? Or is it identical to the d40? Is the higher price just because yinhe needs to pay fhs a margin?
  2. Differences between popular TT Balls?

Can somebody explain the differences between the popular TT balls? From what I've read, the Nittaku Premium is the standard best ball. But Nittaku is slightly lighter/floatier and less spinny than the popular DHS D40 ball. The D40 ball is a little harder, and slightly more solid feel. I've...
  3. Do non-Chinese Pro's boost their H3?

If I was facing Ma Long, I would come in with the same setup, H3 blue sponge on FH, and H3 soft on BH. At the handshake, I would point out that my rubber's pimples are not stretched out, and ML's pimples are clearly tampered with. If the ref refuses my complaint, then I lose 4 straight games to...
  4. Do non-Chinese Pro's boost their H3?

So are you saying, the pros not only boosting H3, but also their Dignics, Tenergy?
  5. Do non-Chinese Pro's boost their H3?

How do you know they are boosting? Which other players are boosting that you are referring to?
  6. Do non-Chinese Pro's boost their H3?

I believe several pro Korean players, and several Japanese players are using H3. If I'm not mistaken, Hina Hayata and Kasumi Ishikawa use H3 either on their forehand or backhand or both. I think Hitomi Sato uses H3 also. Do the non-Chinese pros also boost their H3?
  7. Using Chinese rubbers for the first time

I agree. If the user is not using booster, then they need to be very high level player to use such a setup.
  8. My Personal Guide to Rubbers on Aliexpress

I bought them from various reputable sellers on Aliexpress. I'm quite sure that they are not fake. I tried H3Neo 40d. It's a classic forehand rubber. I've hit around a little with H3 on the backhand (I borrowed a guy's racket). But it doesn't make much sense to me without booster. I think...
  9. How do you learn the counter-punch stroke?

Also I notice that her service-return is very good. She reads the serve well, and she knows when to push and when to drive. It seems to come really naturally to her. For me, it's always a struggle about how to return serve.
  10. WTT in Budapest 2022

Harimoto doesn't seem like a top 10 player anymore
  11. How do you learn the counter-punch stroke?

Well I was just practicing the counter punch for the first time, so I didn't take a video. But next time maybe I will. I mean, I don't know why you assuming that my practice today didn't happen would be of any benefit to you.
  12. How do you learn the counter-punch stroke?

Ok. You are free to assume that it didnt happen. Don't see why that would benefit you.
  13. How do you learn the counter-punch stroke?

I practiced my counter punch today. I had fairly strong looper just loop to my backhand. I would try to block 2 loops, then counter punch third by punching through the ball. I did this on both backhand and forehand. I was able to hit some good counter punches, but it also feels like a quite...
  14. Is there a way to fix a rubber's arc and lift?

I had the same thought: the GTX has a much lower window for a successful loop/drive. Because it doesn't curve as much as H3, you have to be very precise. So in one line of thought, maybe it will force you to make each one of your strokes fall precisely in that window. On the other hand, its just...
  15. Is there a way to fix a rubber's arc and lift?

My point is to make clear that I don't think my stroke is perfect or anywhere near Ma Long. However, with the current stroke that I have, one rubber quite obviously provides less lift than all my other rubbers. Using the same stroke (which is my stroke), this one rubber does not perform as well...
  16. How do you learn the counter-punch stroke?

I believe she said she uses SWAT blade with G1 on both sides. To hit this shot, is it better to have a faster more direct blade? Or a flexier blade with more dwell time?
  17. Is there a way to fix a rubber's arc and lift?

That's an interesting thought. I think Duke was commentating on this from another thread, that if you stretch out a rubber, it actually decreases the dwell time. So that would seemingly make the rubber shoot even straighter. But that thread was a long while back, maybe I'm misunderstanding the...
  18. How do you learn the counter-punch stroke?

I was watching the Ayalog youtube channel that was posted on TTD, and I noticed that Aya doesn't have the same power as many of her male opponents. But she is still beating most of the men. It's pretty obvious that she's winning because she stands closer to the table than they do, cuts off the...
  19. Is there a way to fix a rubber's arc and lift?

Yeah I've heard of that before, but that sounds really messy and kinda extreme. Maybe that should be a last resort. And I'm not sure if there is consensus that baby oil on the surface of the topsheet actually provides better grip.
  20. Is there a way to fix a rubber's arc and lift?

Hey, I'm amateur of the amateurs. I don't mind talking equipment with people who enjoy the discussion. And I also certainly want to discuss how to improve my technique. I don't believe it needs to be binary. On this specific occasion, I'm asking if people have any ideas for how to increase the...
