  1. SDC Handmade Blades

Just managed to acquire this blade below in almost unused condition. I love outer ALC and have played with Viscaria/Boll and others but was looking for something easier to control with a similar feel. Early indications are that this might fit the bill - it’s beautifully made, well balanced and I...
  2. tenergy 64 fx is faster than tenergy 05?

No, not in my experience - the FX rubbers are slower in top end speed than all the non FX versions and easier to control (but still can be bouncy)
  3. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

Rozena would be my pick by a long way. I’m an intermediate player and have played with many faster rubbers including T05 etc but have to say I find Rozena a great all round rubber that builds and gives confidence in strokes.
  4. TESTING TRULS MOREGARD'S TABLE TENNIS BAT!

Your blocking was superb Dan - he was ripping those topspin shots!
  5. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I’m with you on that - I do the same thing and enjoy the fun of trying different setups!
  6. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I have asked the same question many times... I moved away from Viscaria/Lin G/ FZD Alc for that reason - when I am practicing or playing really well they were magic, but when I am not on form they are destructive to my confidence. I have settled in the middle somehwere with generally slightly...
  7. New blade??

Personally I’m not a fan, I’ve only owned one and didn’t really like it - if you want that speed then look for a Mazunov (my favourite fast all wood blade)
  8. New blade??

You could consider; Korbel or Korbel SK7 Xiom offensive s Nittaku S7 Tibhar Samsonov force pro There’s many great 5/7 ply all wood blades.
  9. Video Footage Safe Thread

Thanks for the input Brs, points taken. For me, I have certain opportunities to play during the week ( 2 x 3h cub sessions and 1 x 90 min coaching) so my weekend opportunities are based around my hime table and robot. Obviously a part of this can be service training, but the remainder is where...
  10. I Played Vs World Champion Werner Schlager | Speed Glue Edition

Great video Dan, thanks. As someone who was out the game for the speed glue period I am fascinated by it but have never tried it.
  11. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05

Fair comment. What I was trying to say was that I don’t find T05 to be prohibitively difficult to manage in the short game, but I do find it prohibitively difficult to manage D05 in my topspin game.
  12. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

what are your thoughts on Glayzer on a Mazunov - typically I’ve played and liked 05fx / 80fx on these blades but have some Glayzer too. Despite being a stiff blade I’ve always enjoyed the feel of this blade a lot.
  13. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05

I’ve used both D05, D09C and T05 and find T05 much more suited to my game. It’s easier to generate good speed and spin and not really any harder to control in short. D05 just always felt a tad too hard to me. I like it both sides on some blades and with fx on Bh on others.
  14. Can you boost Tibhar Evolution EL-D???

Falco seems lighter and not as strong as Seamoon (particularly the nat version) so seems to fit the ESN better
  15. Can you boost Tibhar Evolution EL-D???

I like Seamoon for Chinese rubbers but prefer Falco for ESN.
  16. Can you boost Tibhar Evolution EL-D???

I always boost my T05 with a layer of FTL and love the effect - just a bit easier to play with all round (and sounds great)
  17. Post your latest EJ purchase

Viscaria is an amazing blade - I have two (one is 2011) but have semi retired them for inner blades as they were just a touch too hard for me to control in matches. I hope to get back to them in the future!
  18. Bounce with the Ball / Split-Step

I like it - also because it's relatively accessible and can be done anywhere and without equipment. Obviously critical that the moves are correct and the recovery bounces coming at the right time as the ball lands on the opponents side (in the minds eye...) I imagine I might get over 10 repeats...
  19. Bounce with the Ball / Split-Step

Good, then I can hopefully rule that out and focus on just ensuring the weight transfer happens..
