Just one item that supposedly was dispatched by Aliexpress. I don't have porch pirates since i have a gated patio and I have a camera looking at the courtyard. I know exactly when someone comes through the gate.
Did it show as delivered when it wasn't? So they can say it was delivered within a certain period but in actuality it's much longer. Well I'm going on 7 weeks and still nothing. So let's see if I get it in the next week.
So I tried to buy some booster off of Aliexpress. It took 6 weeks and supposedly it was "delivered". However I never got anything. Nothing in the mailbox, doorstep, chimney.....nothing. So I tried to start a refund process. Well they require a picture of the product. How in the fk do you...
Is weight THAT critical? Can you really tell the difference between a few grams? Do you play that much worse with a slightly heavier racquet? I used to be a little obsessed with weight too but I tried some slightly heavier set ups and didn't notice that much difference after playing with it.
Hence why I boost it. Trying to get best of both spin and speed.
I used to use K3 but it's too fast for short flips. It's good for far from table rallies but I had hard time keeping it short and controlling it close in.
I understand the effectiveness of tackiness isn't much different than non tacky surface when it comes to how much spin you can impart. However, I do notice that for short, spinny incoming balls it's easier for me to grip and flip (control) than non tacky ones.
K3 is a very good rubber however the tackiness will wear off and then it's not very effective. The speed is great but I want tack AND speed. So I've decided to go the Chinese rubber and booster route.
What's the diff between Arthur China and Asia? Is one faster/tackier than the other?
I'm disappointed in the lack of tack as well. I'm starting to look into other Chinese rubbers like 729 and Loki. Currently I'm using Rakza Z and it's tacky but not the same as that old DHS tack.
Thats the result of a society that doesn't value ethics. It's totally legal but also unfair. If all kids at that level developed that serve there wouldn't be any need to play the game.
I think there's an age factor with that. Some older people who learned TT years ago before the new rules were put in place didn't learn that way. So that's what they grew up doing and to them is normal. I've played a few people who literally threw the ball into the racquet to serve. Kinda...
Are you saying the Nittaku is less tacky now? Didn't it used to be able to pick up a ball?
The problem with Nittaku Hurricane and Sanwei Target National is that they weight 5lbs. I'm sure they're a good rubber but I'm not sure I can play with a hammer in my hands.
For this exact reason I've tried to develop an illegal serve of my own. Normally I try to abide by the rules and all my serves are legal to the point of being less effective. When I encounter one of these people I'd like to give back some of their own medicine. The only problem is I'm...
What is the deal with the trend toward no tack rubbers? Is there a shortage of tack rubber? Or does less tacky give more grip? If someone has been hording tacky rubbers they can make a killing on the black market.....
Yeah I think that was a good thing. It means they're looking at it and not afraid to make a call. They need to keep calling it so players will understand they cannot get away with it. At least they could lose a point.
Another issue with pros making semi-legal toss or serve hiding is it...
