  1. Be honest guys: you don't need carbon blades

Ehh, no. Using the same person I know as example again here. He used to play in Hebei provincial team when he was a teenager, then went to college and played for his university in China, so at this point he is just playing table tennis as a side thing, his main focus was in his school work. Now...
  2. Offensive players do you prefer inner or outer carbon and why?

Depends on the form it’s served. If it’s on a stick, I bite it. If it’s a ball, I spoon it, then bite. If it soft serve, I’ll probably try slurping, or maybe just swallow without doing anything. But I never lick it. Also, the way I eat ice cream might have something to do with I’m one of those...

Good luck. At least you know you’ll do well on the English exam. 😉
  4. Help my boredom—— QnA thread

What you said made it sounds like you’re implying that Tony knows what it is like in China while not living there. Because you said it as an affirmative sentence, not a question.
  5. Offensive players do you prefer inner or outer carbon and why?

I just watched a review by Table Tennis Gan, it's for an inner carbon, koto surface blade by Gewo. I don't think it's on youtube yet, here's the link on bilibili https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1or4y1s7NW
  6. Offensive players do you prefer inner or outer carbon and why?

Hmm, I think more arc means it's easier to not overshoot the table, since it arcs more... as in the ball trajectory has more arc, as in the ball goes up then down more. Or less arc means the ball goes straighter and flatter. At least that's how I understands it. Also, more arc means more spin...

Nope, I didn't misread. I'm not saying PingBirdPong didn't ask the question in post #23. I'm saying what you quoted in your post #80 is not what PingBirdPong said, and I'm pretty sure PingBirdPong knows what the situation is because he is living in China right now.
  8. Help my boredom—— QnA thread

Think you're reading a bit too much into it, plus it's not @PingBirdPong who made that comment. I don't like discussing any politics either, because it'll get you nowhere, especially on the internet. People will keep believing whatever they believe, and these discussions usually turn into...
  9. Be honest guys: you don't need carbon blades

He’s the best player I know in person, hopefully I get to see him again this summer.

  12. New enticing upcoming blade

oh well, guess I'll just have to wait for https://www.tabletennisstore.us/ to list it for sale then.
  13. New enticing upcoming blade

Where did you buy the Pro version? Would love to get one myself
  14. New enticing upcoming blade

I’ll get the pro version like I mentioned above. I can’t comment on the Harimoto alc comparison since last time I played that blade was more than two years ago. The one I got was from tt-japan.net , it was $150 including shipping
  15. Be honest guys: you don't need carbon blades

This is just not true at all... I have a friend who used to be in Hebei provincial team, so not top national player in China. He now plays here in the states in NCTTA, and he's got a USATT rating around 2500, still not top national player. He uses a composite blade, and I really doubt you can...
  16. New enticing upcoming blade

I'd say it's faster at the low end, as in it requires less input to achieve faster ball speed when the force of the stroke is kept below maybe 60-70% of what you can do. Or in other words, it's easier to use than a w968, which is why I say it's really similar to Yasaka Atletico Power. But I...
  17. New enticing upcoming blade

So I tried TMXi paird with H3 Blue Sponge and Evolution EL-P yesterday, and I gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised. The one I've got is 89.5g, and after gluing on the rubbers it weighs 190.4g, and I'll be comparing it to the Yasaka Atletico Power I've been using for the past 2 months. Head size...
  18. New enticing upcoming blade

I think his explanations are oriented mostly towards Chinese audiences, some of those doesn't translate well to English, and the subs are sloppy at times, I think he uses a auto translation software rather than having someone translate it manually.
  19. New enticing upcoming blade

You are misunderstanding a bit, I said both sides and edges, as in both sides of the blade, and also the edge of the blade.
  20. New enticing upcoming blade

I seal all my blades now, one quick layer of Joola varnish on both sides and the edges, then I'll let it dry for 24 hours just to be safe. I bet it's him, I like his videos a lot, his form is really good, and the way he explains what he felt during testing is very detailed.
