Is that more correct regarding the forearm use? https://youtube.com/shorts/hr3LhZd7UhA?feature=share

Great video carl. Does the upper arm basically stop when the elbow starts to flex?
3. Video Footage Safe Thread

Thanks, that makes sense. If you flex the arm just before contact that will add batspeed. What confused me was this video by ti long where he claims there shouldn't be active flexion of the arm But it makes sense that flexing adds speed

Yeah i just tried to isolate the forearm move. Btw are dima and timo even use their forearm? To me it looks dima starts a bit above 90 degrees and also finishes there. Or do I see that wrong ] [/img]

I have another question on technique. In a normal forehand loop should the arm go more forward or more up? See this video to see what i mean. More version 1 (up) or 2 (forward)?

So not use the whole arm so much for the push but doing a shorter mive mostly with the wrist?

Made another video. Tried a more relaxed hand and have elbow farther from the body but elbow is still pretty bent. Also tried to move later into position which not always worked. Also added a bit of "short game" (pushes, flicks). Regarding some questions that people asked in this thread: -...
10. Devaluation of boosters with top-class players.

Well I guess if the rubbers are factory boosted you probably don't need to boost them, especially if you only use them for two weeks because you are a pro and you get them for free.

Yes i did use the same grip. I tried to move back to the middle after every shot so I'm not just standing around but I still moved to the ball too early. Next time i will try to wait until it shoots the ball. Robot is a super cheap 20 bucks toy from china but better than nothing. Will try...

Yeah I'm swinging pretty slow. If i swing faster i feel my technique gets even worse and i miss a lot more. Would you recommend swinging faster even if it means missing a lot more shots?

I revently bought a penhold blade, here is some forehands and backhands. I'm not a good player (more of a street player) playing like 1,2 times per week but it is still fun. Tried some forehands And backhands
16. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

Btw is there a reason why some famous Cpen players played not so fast (non carbon) blades? As far as I know ma lin and wang hao played all wood bats without carbon, xue fei I think too. since those players are pretty offensive players why weren't they using super fast carbon blades like most SH...

Aren't tensor rubbers actually pre stretched?
18. Penhold techniques against chopping

Btw i don't think PH is a disadvantage at all against choppers. Many penhold players are chopper killers ( ma lin, xx for example) because high level players play mostly everything with the forehand anyway against choppers because choppers give you enough time to run around
19. Penhold techniques against chopping

What is interesting is that some of the younger penhold guys are almost better in their BH than their FH. Their Rpb is super good because they started doing it very early but their FH and footwork is a bit weak for a penholder. I think if a penholder emerged with a BH like lebrun and footwork...
