Nobody can answer your question. For some people hard rubber is good on hard blades, for others this isn't the case. Everyone's game is different, and it comes down to whether or not it's good for YOUR game. Rubber and blade don't match up. Rubber, blade and Player do.

blade I use a thin layer, no pores so it doesn't soak through wood. No need for a lot on the blade to get adhesion. porous sponge I use a good amount usually one thick layer. I request to sticky this thread in equipment for people :)

everyone using the same rubber wouldn't be on the same level. Not everyones style adheres to the same rubber. Making everyone use a rubber that one person is good at and the others weren't wouldn't be the same level

I was thinking your hitting partner wasn't able to hit very well until I saw him start looping himself. I just don't like his blocks I guess. You seem pretty comfortable counter looping from off the table. Why do you want a counter loop on the table opposed to just counterhitting when you're close?

In person, I love watching players of equal level. you can see the momentum change and know what a player needs to do to turn things around. you see little things that really stand out so much more than when you watch a video. next time you watch some of the higher level players at your club...
