  1. Butterfly distributor in UK

If both versions are being sold at the same price (which they are), then I would prefer to have the latest version of the blade. I also like the idea of getting one with the security hologram on it.
  2. Butterfly distributor in UK

I did call them and ask the question. Their response was that I couldn't specifically order the new version. All I'm able to specify is which handle type I want.
  3. Butterfly distributor in UK

Can anyone tell me if there are any Butterfly distributors to the UK other than Teessports? I want to buy the new look Timo Boll ALC blade as shown in the new 2017 butterfly catalogue but teessports current stock is a mixture of the old and new look versions and they won't let me specifically...
  4. Rhyzm 425 or Rhyzm P

Currently using the standard Rhyzm at the moment but I'm finding it perhaps a touch too firm. I'm torn between stepping down to the 425 or switching to the Rhyzm P. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts about which one to go for? The 425 is 42.5 degrees, the Rhyzm P is 45 degrees. Thanks Stuart

    I'm going for rhyzm-p next
  6. Slow down a blade or speed up the rubbers?

Just curious as to what is the better strategy if you're an allround sort of player; get a faster blade but slow it down a bit with slower rubbers, or get a slower blade but use more offensive rubbers? I'd describe my self as being at the more attacking end of the all-round spectrum, but i...
  7. Long Pimples for Penhold

Tin Tin Ho uses short pimples, not long pimples.
  8. Tips on Tibhar MX-P

Currently have it myself on fh. I went for MAX thickness but in hindsight I should have gone for 1.9mm. It's a harder sponge so don't think you really need to go to max on this rubber.
  9. Looping with thinner sponges

I'd have assumed tacky rubber was more efficient at stopping the incoming spin and adding your own spin. I'm assuming that based on the further assumption that tacky rubber increases the rubbers grip on the ball and therefore doesn't allow the ball to skid on rubber. I may be completely wrong...
  10. Looping with thinner sponges

Is there a recommended minimum thickness for looping? I'm thinking of trying some more control-based rubbers rather than all out offensive rubbers. The rubbers I'm looking at are generally classified as "allround" rubbers and they come with some thinner sponge options. Will I still be able to...
  11. the thickness of rubber !

On the subject of sponge thickness, do rubbers like mxp and 05 still play like theyre supposed to in the thinnest sponge hickness? What I mean is, does an mxp or 05 with a 1.7mm sponge just play like a more controllable version of the max versions, or does the thinner sponge change...
  12. Pip for attacking back spin/chops?

I used to play with tsp curl p-4 chop long pimples. Great for chopping but we're also very good at a sort of looping /hitting through of received backspin. I found the 1.1-1.3mm sponge version worked best for me.
  13. Friendship 802 or 802-40

How can you call pips "anti-table tennis equipment" when pips where the ORIGINAL type of rubber used in the sport?!? Inverted rubbers with sponge are the "invasive species", not the pips!
  14. Friendship 802 or 802-40

I currently use 802-40 on BH and have had a few hits with a friends 802 but never properly played with it to do a real comparison. In my opinion, the 802 is more like a traditional SP rubber whereas the 802-40 is much closer to a normal inverted rubber due to its much larger pimples. If you're...
