I was thinking about it again and I think that penholders playing this style have a little advantage, because with shakehand you only can chop or block with the LP backhand. With penhold you can use the traditional backhand attack as well. BTW: Which is the best LP rubber for this style? Thanks :)

I'm sure. When I wasn't good enough to win the veteran players we were training fast drives and topspins. Now, We are just training slow drives and chops (I'm a penholder, not a long pips player). Thanks for the advice

I play the violin and my fingers are long too :) Go to minute 29:20 In China they call it the shallow penhold grip. It works perfect for me. It is very similar to Wang Hao's grip too.
