  1. DHS Hurricane 8-80 review: A great hybrid backhand rubber

I have added some good info on this here! https://www.tabletennisequipmenthelp.com/blog/dhs-hurricane-3-neo-complete-amateur-guide But mostly, 8-80 is just easier to use and has more kick, and you dont need to boost is constantly. H3N 37 boosted feels great for 2 weeks, then you struggle in...
  2. DHS Hurricane 8-80 review: A great hybrid backhand rubber

Yep indeed @golden_son this is a rubber that is not for everybody, and I also did not enjoy boosting it :) Yeah I'm excited about the nittaku review too, its in the testing phase and in the making!
  3. Is there such a big difference between all of the versions of DHS Hurricane 3?

Agree with all the above, just a word of caution, if you use it for the first time, 41 is a brick, so Id still recommend 39, you will find it plenty hard unless your technique is already very good ;) For backhand if you like hurricanes, 8-80 is fantastic and is also what I use. Otherwise plenty...
  4. [Equipment Guide] Best First Intermediate Table Tennis Rubbers in 2026: A Comprehensive List & Analysis

haha thanks!! I'm glad you like it :)) Yeah I used to play with it, it's a good rubber but not personally for me, the throw was on the low side plus not really linear, (I like a linear FH) and for non-boost alternatives I enjoyed battle 2 more for example! not bad bounce though without...
  5. FH loop - do I brush on the top or side?

I do mostly top, with a bit of side, but whenever needed, a hook can work very well!
  6. DHS Hurricane 8-80 review: A great hybrid backhand rubber

Ah yes, I see in the blog I put the uncut weight, not the cut one, it varies as QA is not super good, but mine have usually been around 50g give or take. this is also what @kapahoo mentioned Yeah for sure is fun, it's a personal thing but I enjoy it a lot! If you find 8-80 soft on BH, you must...
  7. DHS Hurricane 8-80 review: A great hybrid backhand rubber

Yes this is a perfectly valid opinion, I see you play with a FZD ALC and Tenergy 19 + D80, so the 8-80 is going to feel like a fiat panda for you hahaha H8 has an even lower throw, so maybe that's why you disliked it so much, I personally don't like the H8 either, I find the H3N well boosted...
  8. DHS Hurricane 8-80 review: A great hybrid backhand rubber

Mercury 2 has less gears, it's 'safe' and it's easier to use, feels softer and bouncier in the hand at low speeds, good for developing/beginners, but less good when you need action haha Also, mercury 2 is unbeatable for the price.
  9. DHS Hurricane 8-80 review: A great hybrid backhand rubber

Haha yeah G09c has much more bouncy at low-medium speeds, they are different in philosophy, glayzer is bounce first, tack second, 8-80 comes from the chinese side so it's the opposite. This is just a generic metaphor to explain it, it's ofc no that simple :) I didn't enjoy boosting it, it got...
  10. DHS Hurricane 8-80 review: A great hybrid backhand rubber

Hey all! I'd like to add here my personal experience and feeling using the DHS Hurricane 8-80 for quite a while on the backhand. Until now we had a couple other very nice posts talking about the topic, so wanted to make those more complete with my review. Mine is mostly based on the 37...
  11. SOLD

@joshmak10 purely curious, what is the rebound decay % on your blade? :) I have one now with 72% and another one coming that should be around 65% :D
  12. T19 x d64 in dhs hurricane king wang chuqin

I use the WCQ blade often and it's a fast one with a lot of rebound at high impact, so combining this with bouncy tenergies, in my opinion, bad idea. The blade is made for dhs rubbers :)
  13. Thoughts on Rakza 7 on Timo Boll ALC?

In my humble opinion, having a fast car like a Timo Boll ALC (it's like a viscaria) with such slow tires as Razka 7 to overcompensate for the speed/control, doesn't make too much sense, I'd go for a blade like yasaka sweden extra (if you like yasaka, there are many others) and focus on...
  14. 1.9 vs 2.1 dignics 09c weight difference and other differences?

I just saw the static vids, could not see the instagram video but the overall stroke mechanics looked good, as @K.K says, it's match gameplay that matters more at the high level where all players can do the strokes good on static but in any case, I'd say you can handle 2.1 all good.
  15. 1.9 vs 2.1 dignics 09c weight difference and other differences?

Saw your Dm will have a look tomorrow thanks! :)
  16. Is there such a big difference between all of the versions of DHS Hurricane 3?

Agreed, I advice 39 to start off on FH as a first time user though :)
  17. Haifu nat black booster

I think this explains it more or less. But in the end it gets down to nuances that we amateurs may not notice :) https://a.aliexpress.com/_EwhgPd2 https://a.aliexpress.com/_EweHa6C
  18. What's your guys favourite handle material/specific blade handle for feel?

I enjoy DHS thin handles the most for my hand and grip :) my favourites are PG5, PG7, Fang bo B2/B2X and Wang Chuqin
