  1. Hybrid Rubbers

Update: Guys... I folded :ROFLMAO:. I tried 09c today, much much better at serve receive and counter topspins. Coming from a regular tensor though... I struggled to generate much power as that rubber did most of the work for me, but that is something I can adjust to though.
  2. Hybrid Rubbers

Gewo Nexxus EL 48 SuperSelect both sides. My USATT is 2350
  3. Hybrid Rubbers

Not enough info / reviews on that one. ZGR looks like it is 57.5 degrees, probably WAY to hard for me. Remember, I use around 47- 48 degree rubbers. Dragon grip looks like it is 55, might need boosting?
  4. Hybrid Rubbers

Hi all. Would like a quick insight from those of you who use hybrid rubbers. TLDR: I've played with Tenergy 05 / Dignics 05 and other ESN rubbers all of my table tennis career (about 15 years now) and would like to transition to hybrid rubbers. Everyone at my level uses them and I feel like I...
  5. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

Interested in these blades, have used the TMX and TMXi (AJH) before. They were too head heavy for me and would like the weight to be more toward the handle.
  6. Some questions about Edge tape, Gluing, impacts on gameplay

On the contrary to what a lot of people are saying here, I will provide my 2 cents. 1. Putting edge tape DOES affect the feeling of the blade, but for the average person it is not noticeable. Without edge tape my racket feels more crisp, and with edge tape that feeling is a little more muted...
  7. Place to play in NYC

    Yeah go for it.
  8. Place to play in NYC

Yes I still play here. Might even be there today - not sure yet. What is your level approximately?
  9. What is the weight of your current setup?

Timo Boll ALC + Gewo Nexxus EL 48 SuperSelect x2, 186g. Perfect balance for me. Blade is 86g
  10. What blade would work best for Tenergy 05fx?

Both will work great. I use Timo Boll so I can attest to that one personally.
  11. Xiom new collection (2025)

They changed their metrics and now its hard to understand the comparisons.
  12. Tenergy glue

When I used it, it felt like the glue never really dried (and I waited about an hour) and it felt dry. The feeling on the rubbers I used (Tenergy, Dignics, and Nexxus SuperSelect) was so mushy and barely any catapult. I swapped to regular free chack 2 and had no issues.
  13. The Challenges of Coming Back after Breaks from Table Tennis

I'm going through the exact same. I've been sick for about a month and when I returned to the table just my feeling is completely off. I feel like my brain and hands aren't connected perfectly (or input lag as you might say).
  14. Lifespan of a blade?

Your blade composition will also include your sweat which will make it feel softer and slower.
  15. My Robot died -- what's next ?

I know you said under $500 but... theres a great deal for a fancy robot at a really good price! Although I don't own one, but my club has been using it for many years. Link here.
  16. A24 Table Tennis Movie - Open Casting

Hopefully I made the cut 👀
  17. Best BH rubber (xiom vega)

Vega Pro / Vega X are really good choices. They are pretty much the same except Vega X is the "updated" version of vega pro.
  18. which coach is right

It all depends on you... I have the old classic European technique and prefer it much more than slap attack chinese rubbers ;)
  19. Medium hard rubber for backhand

    Xiom Vega X
  20. rubber shrinking when regluing?

Boosting a rubber gives it higher tension hence once you remove it from the blade it will shrink. You can either reglue it but place the rubber a little higher than usual, or glue it normally but would have to stretch it out. I recommender the 1st option. I don't personally boost so I...
