Not the same. Fextra 5 is thicker, i measured almost 1mm more. The only negative point of this blade for me.

I really like the sanwei Fextra 5. Really good for the price.

You can start to apply the rubber at the tip of the blade, if the rubber is shorter the gap will be at the handle. You can slightly stretch the side of the rubber to make it fit the blade if needed. You should be able to achieve a good result. Use edge tape to hide any imperfections.

If it's more expensive it must be better.

My korbel with two mantra pro weight 182g. It's well balanced but with heavier rubbers it's definitely head heavy. Good job on your modifications. Korbel is a great blade.

If you want to test another blade without spending a lot of money you can look at the Sanwei Fextra 5 on Aliexpress. Very nice blade for the money. Similar speed than the Korbel, good feeling. Handle is thick.

I use copydex on rubber and elmer's rubber cement on blade. Adhesion bond is strong enough but not too much. Never had a piece of wood coming off yet. Rubbers don't fall off. Never sealed my blades.

I have a Pro 01 with Koto, and it's similar to the Fextra 5.

The only information i found about this blade is from a seller on Aliexpress. That's why i assume it's Koto. If it's true or not i don't know.

Using old glue that leave grainy residues, then trying to peel it and removing small bits of sponge on a brand new Tenergy rubber. :mad:
