Make sure they have a great sense of humor or else you might get banned from your club lol
  2. 27th ITTF-Asian Table Tennis Championships 2024, Astana, 10/7-13

That's hilarious. Would make a great gag gift to get your mates an official S.ODO Butterfly jersey
  3. Wang Chuqin loses to 14 year old!

You could tell from his match with Harimoto between the WCQ and LSD matches that he was legit and no fluke. It's hard to apply the same rules of development and progression sometimes to these wonderkids when they make huge jumps in short period of times as their body develops. The problem is...
  4. Benyamin Faraji 14 years old.

This is the serve variation path I've decided to go with so it's great to see someone do it so well. There's a ton of sideways movement on the fast hook which makes it pretty hard to square up a flick, or get in the right position. This is more disruptive when a similar setup is used for...
  5. 27th ITTF-Asian Table Tennis Championships 2024, Astana, 10/7-13

ATTU mispelled Odo's name as "ODON" and the Japanese fans are really having fun with it in live chat
  6. Butterfly... when?

I believe she used a Harimoto ALC during those matches. Butterfly: Can we get away with just coming out with a pink version of the Harimoto ALC and calling it a revolutionary new blade? 🤔
  7. What is the best way to return side topsin serves?

So basically a more abbreviated BH loop technique focused on brushing and aimed to the FH corner? I'll give that a try. Is the racket angle more closed or is standard ok? Maybe I've been making too big movements trying to hook the ball with the tip of the racket pointing down.
  8. What is the best way to return side topsin serves?

I've been struggling with receiving a pretty fast pure or mostly side spin pendulum serve so was hoping to get an answer in this thread. Looping doesn't really feel secure, especially since the ball often goes to the crossover point and I either have to move to the left for a BH or pivot for a...
  9. What is the best way to return side topsin serves?

The first video is easy to understand and a mess. The second and third videos are a mess. If someone who can understand Chinese can summarize the last two, that'd be really helpful. From what I've tried to piece together, Fang Yinchi is saying for backspin sidespin short balls, you can just...
  10. 27th ITTF-Asian Table Tennis Championships 2024, Astana, 10/7-13

Is Harimoto depressed or something? No cho'ing after points won. During towel breaks he's still at the table just bouncing the ball on the table. What's going on? Lol
  11. 27th ITTF-Asian Table Tennis Championships 2024, Astana, 10/7-13

It's pretty crazy to think that the last two times a player was able to beat two core CNT players in a team series happened to be from the same family. Was it just my imagination, or was Miwa blocking a lot more like her bro in this match too? Lot of push-down backhand blocks and even some of...
  12. Wang Chuqin loses to 14 year old!

From this camera angle you can really see just how fast this kid plays. He's pretty damn good.
  13. Wang Chuqin loses to 14 year old!

Don't enjoy piling on when athletes are in a slump, but this time I feel less guilty about it. Karma for illegal serves. If you're gonna cheat at the highest levels, then there must be some mental load about when to do it, and worrying about getting caught or called out, etc. Maybe when you...
  14. Rubber alternative for FH & BH, cheaper

    No. That's H+. You want the M-
  15. Rubber alternative for FH & BH, cheaper

Neither. It's hard but there's an extra hard that's harder still. Think of it like A- vs A+. The minus just means lower end of A. It doesn't downgrade it to a B+ (that would be M+) Most people like playing with the M- since it has some bounce. M+ will be a bit more dead with higher top end speed.
  16. 27th ITTF-Asian Table Tennis Championships 2024, Astana, 10/7-13

SYB managed to lose a game up 7-1 against A. Mukherjee. Def something in the water at Astana Edit: Now SYB goes on to win 8 straight points down 3-7 to win the next game. Game of streaks
  17. Large Hands And Flared Handles

Good choice. Fextra 7 is a blade that so many people own and is pretty much unbeatable for the price. I used it for a year and a half when getting started and owned 3 of them (one which I gave away to a friend who liked using it). It's also a good reference blade. In the future when you want...
  18. Large Hands And Flared Handles

I have the Acoustic G-Revision in ST and I would say the length is not suitable for large hands if that's what you're looking for. Acoustic original is for small hands. Acoustic G-Revision is for ordinary sized hands (by Western standards). The Yasaka Resonate handle is so far the bulkiest...
  19. I'm personally going to Coach 60 of you for FREE, for the next 2-3 weeks. Read below to know what I'm offering to help u improve FAST,& joining steps

@Heming Hu What do you consider a beginner versus an intermediate? I've been playing for a couple of years and consider myself a beginner. But I guess everyone has their own ideas of what those words mean.
  20. China Smash 2024, Beijing, 9/26-10/6

You neglected to address the point where LSD and WCQ are pulling out the most blatantly illegal stuff at crucial moments. Find me the times when Lind does this and you can equate the two. Yes, they do win more than Lind does. I'm not sure how this relates to the topic. Are you saying that Timo...
