  1. ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals Busan 2024

I'd be surprised if the CNT didn't know about or didn't practice specifically against their opponent's rubber type. I'm guessing that SYS and CNT just didn't take the Mukherjee threat seriously enough to devote much time for it. Almost all of Team India is using pips or something unusual on the...
  2. Any advices for my forehand Topspin?

The ball is consistently going to the same spot so I'm guessing this is a robot feeding you the balls? Form looks pretty good in slow mo. Maybe one nitpick is what you're doing with your free arm. It shouldn't go so high up. Not only is it generally bad for balance and recovery, but it also...
  3. Now testing: Battle Max, Rxton 3 Pink, Dynaryz ZGX, and Rhyzen ZGX

To be fair they called it "light tension" and said it was slow. And in subsequent videos they had other players say that it was Chinese style and slightly tacky. I don't think they made half a dozen videos about a rubber just out of Japanese politeness. They only made one video about Rxton 1...
  4. ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals Busan 2024

Unexpected start for Team China with Mukherjee somehow taking the first set with soft chops and pushes
  5. Now testing: Battle Max, Rxton 3 Pink, Dynaryz ZGX, and Rhyzen ZGX

Now you guys understand why WRM made like 5 different videos about Rxton 3 Pink/Blue lol
  6. How far would my setup take me ?

Switched to an inner carbon blade but Moon 12 was good on the Fextra. You might find the tension a bit too bouncy if you're going from both a slower blade and a classic rubber (esp if the rubber is dead). Maybe you can start with something slower like Reactor Tornado V5. Only 5 bucks so it'll...
  7. Looking upgrade of Tibhar Lebesson

It's going to be hard to find a blade similar to the Lebesson since not too many brands are making thin (5.5mm) 5ply blades. And the composition of limba top ply and mahogany medial ply is very rare. From reviews, a Nittaku Acoustic seems like it would be faster while retaining similar...
  8. Looking upgrade of Tibhar Lebesson

What do you like and not like about your current blade? With more info people can help you better.
  9. How far would my setup take me ?

@Anh Huy Just to add to my earlier comment, the Sanwei Fextra is a safe bet. I'm no expert but it was personally my favorite all wood blade and I've tried quite a few. Nittaku Acoustic, Nittaku Ludeack, Yasaka Sweden Extra, Donic Appelgren, and Yinhe U2 I all tried at one point. Fextra was...
  10. How far would my setup take me ?

Sanwei Fextra is always a good choice for $20. You will want a lighter one under 85 grams. Another option is Yinhe U2 Spin. Both are do-it-all OFF 7 plies that are around 6.0mm and have limba outer. These blades are what new players in China are often recommended, and you can find them...
  11. How far would my setup take me ?

I've heard a lot of people try out V5 Pro. But I haven't heard anyone being particularly satisfied with. If you know you want a stiff 7 ply with hard outer that plays direct, then go for it. But if you're still developing it's probably better to get something with more flex and hold in order to...
  12. How far would my setup take me ?

If the rubbers were bought that long ago, they're probably no good anymore. You can get a pretty good training/beginner setup for pretty cheap so I'd recommend changing asap, or else you might get too used to training with bad/dead rubber.
  13. What equipment should I choose?

According to the article, it's the 301Z. Elasticity index is what we commonly would think of as "speed" and the 301Z is clearly slower in their tests.
  14. What equipment should I choose?

You should get a JOOLA ZQH 90, a Butterfly Lin Yun Ju SZLC, and a DHS W968. Then slap on some Dignics and then try all 3 to see which one you like better
  15. Is my strength also my biggest weakness?

I use hook serve and find that the sidespin makes my opponents put the ball to my wide FH. Do you have any tips to makes sure they're returning to my BH? Also, can you share the Wang Hao videos? Are they subtitled in English or Vietnamese?
  16. W968 provincial backhand problem

You've only been playing 6 months but have already used a Joola ZQH Super ALC, a Butterfly Lin Yun Ju SZLC, and a DHS W968?
  17. Moon 12 Blue on sale!

I have both M- and M+ versions of Moon Blue and have measured them with a durometer. First number is measured from topsheet, 2nd is measured from sponge: M- is 46/45 M+ is 49/47
  18. New rubbers for young athlete

Cybershape seems like it'd be head heavy for a 10 year old girl. Might be tougher transitions between FH and BH, especially if she's going to be playing typical close to the table style.
  19. Happy Lunar New Year! 😘

Thanks @Andrea Jiang. I've played with Donic, Yasaka, Yinhe, and Nittaku blades but I always find myself using a Sanwei as my main.
  20. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Japanese women's team drama is the most compelling theater in the world of table tennis. Never thought I'd be watching TV Tokyo and following along so intently when I first decided to take up TT as a hobby lol
