Just thinking out loud here but I recall Iba Diaw explaining how expensive it was to participate in the WTT events. He mentioned how he not only had to fly out to places and pay the various fees, but also had to stay at the expensive WTT designated hotels.
Maybe the new system was just too...
I did a little bit of reseach on this topic with regards to Vietnam and came to the conclusion that there is no institutional structure and funding to send promising players to compete internationally. There are only a few events like the SE Asian games where Vietnam can compete internationally...
I bought B2 Pro BS a week ago too since it was on sale. I asked @TensorBackhand the same question and he said his 40d didn't feel hard and he recommended it.
I remember my B2 Pro OS 39d playing soft. I would've preferred a degree or two harder. So I ended up getting the BS in 40d.
I just got Rxton 3 Pink delivered and measured it with my Shore O durometer.
Readings came out to be around 51-52d.
This is the same reading as Rxton 3 Blue.
Looking forward to the Loki AP review. I've been very happy with my Loki purchases so would love it if they made good blades too. Loki been the exciting Chinese hipster value brand of 2023.
For TT, I bought a Stuor Harimoto ZLC, Sanwei 75 Inner, sheets of Bloom Power, Rxton 3 Pink, a cutting mat, and some balls.
Non-TT I bought a rice cooker and an air purifier :)
Right after I commented this, WRM put out this video showing a guy getting great amounts of spin serving with Rxton 3 Pink. So I guess this proves the problem was me after all
Hope I'm not giving you the wrong impression about the Rxton 3B. Should be noted I'm a beginner player and my experience of using it is within 10 months of playing. Before that I was using Mercury 2, Rxton 5, and Battle 2 and maybe was used to brushing with tackier rubber.
WRM reviewed Rxton...
User error :D
Seriously though, because of the stiff topsheet I had a hard time generating spin at low and medium power. This led me to just flat-hit whacking the ball when it came to my FH. Also, I didn't get good spin out of my serves. I'm guessing a lot of the problems were due to my low...
Loki Rxton 3 Blue measured 52d on my Shore O durometer. It's pretty hard with a very a tough topsheet.
It doesn't feel like any other Chinese rubber I've tried. Even other Rxtons like Rxton 5 and Rxton 1 Plus feel different.
I really enjoyed using Rxton 3 Blue in training because it was...
How would you describe how it changed in its characteristics during those 3 months? Was there are any noticeable drop off in grip or speed? Did it affect concistency at all?
