I get my best reverse serves with it. I honestly don't see the difference vs 05, vs 09c tackiness helps for short serves, but if you serve fast and long Zyre is *much* better.
Your question is important but you are not phrasing it the way most coaches would phrase it.
It is important to find a balance between working on a technique and using it in the situations where it occurs. In some psychology of training, it is called "block" vs "random" practice and there are...
I am just surprised that there is so little Dignics and hybrid/sticky rubbers. Dignics and Hybrid/sticky rubbers broadly is part of what drives the need for carbon. While it is possible to use Dignics 05 on all wood, it's a very different when you use it something that sends the ball forward...
I have used the blade, I never sealed it, and it was fine. But of course, if it makes you feel more secure or you don't have experience gluing or you glue a lot and therefore want to keep the moisture content consistent, then go ahead and seal.
That's true, but it leaves open a lot of things to subjectivity. But as @jk1980 pointed out, lack of rigor affects everyone's argument. Maybe with Spinsight, over time, data will inform more of these choices.
I think this video is a good discussion of some things amateurs get wrong in a way that not only instructs but gives you ideas you can adapt to you and see whether they help or not...
My wife is likely travelling in the last two weeks of May so if it happens then, forget me lol. But early June before the World Cup Starts seems like the most reasonable time IMHO.
There were some that were told that rhey had started with equipment that was too fast and they should use something slower. They often didn't like it. But what I never did because they never seriously competed was get into aerve return training, which is usually where lots of interesting...
I can imagine - the fact that people are still using Tenergy more than Dignics speaks for itself. I find that most people who use Dignics will feel a need for carbon. Just goes with the territory.
What kind of injury does she have? Having it still affect her so close to all the individual continental events coming up over the next few weeks is not good for her....
How is playing better/happier measured?
Winning more matches against better players, losing less to worse players etc. Do you have a rating/ranking system and what were the changes as a result of changing equipment? Fewer injuries?
And did any of the players take your advice, see it wasn't...
I was tempted to post the video on the Myth of the Perfect Forehand on one of Zezima's threads. I will pst this from ZJJ instead. Note some things he says about it being too late and the dangers of changing effective technique.
Sora and Harimoto played one of the most intense table tennis matches i have ever seen rivaling (and for me surpassing) the Togami-Harimoto final two years ago. It was clearly the final before the final, I still wonder how Harimoto manages to keep up with some of those balls that Sora is...
We all being different experiences to this. I think a lot of coaching advice comes off wisdom that sometimes gets calcidied despite changes. Very few newbies are rich enough to come to a club with a fast blade and when they do, of course they would likely play better with something slower but...
