  1. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Hey I'm glad that you've been able to find a BH rubber that checks all the boxes. Have to admit, I will miss reading your reviews of random rubbers during your search. I would've thought that the LAC is too hard for a BH rubber. Are you planning on boosting?
  2. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

This is a great discussion about the recovery reset. As is often the case, I think that a big reason for differing viewpoints does have to do with the unclear definition of the recovery reset. Whether you view it as built in to the stroke itself or as a separate action after the stroke does seem...
  3. Armature FH stroke difference between Tacky and Non tacky rubbers

Hey @NextLevel I decided to film some of my FH practice from the front and was wondering if you had a couple minutes to take a look at it? Lmk if it's not too much of a bother and I will PM you.
  4. Some of my today training footage

You guys should come visit Vietnam if you want some inexpensive coaching. It's about $10 (sometimes less) per hour. You won't get Ti Long to train you for that rate, but there are many good quality coaches here.
  5. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Since I'm obviously pretty interested in the recovery reset and making it priority at the moment, I'd want to know sooner rather than later if doing it is actually making my responses slower. I also don't want to lead anyone astray with that thread since I'm neither a coach or an experience...
  6. What place to store the rackets and spare rubbers in Summer?

I think moisture and oxidation are probably a bigger problems than a bit of warmth. So store it in the dryest possible place. I have plastic covering all my rubber (topsheet at least) and I put them in a box with some of those moisture absorbing dessicant packets.
  7. What song are u listening to now?

I just saw BABYMETAL in Bangkok a week ago. F. Hero showed up to perform PA PA YA with them. Was amazing! They were just in KL. Did you get a chance to go?
  8. SANWEI new type all wood blade — Echo and Parla

Same here, let's get back to talking about Sanwei. Hoping we get lucky and a Koto outer 7 ply is the 3rd blade in the Trio series. 🙏
  9. SANWEI new type all wood blade — Echo and Parla

Alright I understand loyalty to certain brands and retailers. And I'm hoping there's a Sanwei version of the Yinhe U2 as well. If you want a recommendation for a trusted seller on Aliexpress I'd go with BEO Store. I've ordered from them before with no issues. They are higher rated than other...
  10. SANWEI new type all wood blade — Echo and Parla

Nobody is selling fake Yinhe U2s since they retail for like $25 anyway. Yinhe U2 from a big Aliexpress seller I'd trust nearly 100%. Some sellers clearly have direct relationships with the manufacturer. Just pick one up. I might just get one myself just to see if I like the feel of Koto outer...
  11. SANWEI new type all wood blade — Echo and Parla

I'm curious about this too. The Yinhe U2 matches your description, but I can't think of any other blade on the market that does.
  12. Bounce with the Ball / Split-Step

I'd hate to think that this thread is responsible for you losing matches. So I choose to believe you lost because you went full Gozo instead.
  13. using a razor blade to cut the rubber

I use an x-acto knife and it comes out really nice. Remember to use oil or soapy water on the blade as lubricant for better results. My first few attempts were with a box cutter and it turned out horrible.

The left step first isn't a big shift of weight. It can be done while your weight is balanced like after a recovery reset. It just starts your momentum going towards the left and helps facilitate the steparound. With all footwork stuff, you can do this anywhere. Try stepping around your dinner...
  15. Ma Jinbao vs Kanamitsu

Thread title sounds like a DragonBall Z fight
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Yeah the little skip-step that is taught in the video makes all of the difference. You end up still putting your weight onto your right leg, but the small skip-step with the left foot really directs your momentum towards laterally to your right instead of planting you into the ground. The...
  17. Armature FH stroke difference between Tacky and Non tacky rubbers

Okay that makes a lot of sense to me. I do have in my training notes that I need to wait longer for the ball. So it has occured to me that I am timing the weight transfer too early, and this is making me reach out with my shoulder forward in order to make contact (I'm also probably bleeding out...
  18. Bounce with the Ball / Split-Step

I guess it goes to show you how much muscle memory is dependent on contextual cues. To solve this problem, I propose you print out life size posters of your old friends behind a table and then start doing shadow training in front of those posters.
  19. Armature FH stroke difference between Tacky and Non tacky rubbers

Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping to get some advice since, even though this new FH style feels more powerful, it doesn't feel all too comfortable. I understand taking the ball a bit later, but can explain again the saluting with my body part and leaning over the ball? In my mind, taking...
  20. Armature FH stroke difference between Tacky and Non tacky rubbers

Following up with the above post about tension style (テンション系) rubber FH and Chinese sticky (中国粘着) rubber FH. Or I guess we can simplify it to "Euro style" and "Chinese style." Here's a video of me alternating between the two styles of FHs. Turn up the volume and you'll hear the difference in...
