Looks like he won't be allowed to tape his leg. Oh well. Looks like it has been granted but just massage. I think WCQ will raise his level in response lol.
  2. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Harimoto can't push that serve he needs to do better. Edit: he does better but loses the ensuing rally. Tough luck.
  3. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Regardless of result, this is a huge victory for Harimoto and a reminder that speed is not everything in table tennis even at the top level and that timing always matters.
  4. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Yes, he is human. You can't go faster than he does but you can still do things to throw him off. Felix showed this already. Harimoto is showing it now just in a different way.
  5. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Lin usually lost to better players as well, but he deserved one. It's unfortunate he never got one.
  6. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

The ball is easy, but the read has to be adjusted to and you don't adjust to it by assuming it is a ball you know and then trying to kill it. You adjust to it by seeing what happened the first time and rather than repeating that, taking something off it or taking it earlier or later at a lower...

The lady discusses it but a high level, your partner has served a backspin ball so no matter what your opponent does to it with long pips, it will have light to heavy topspin on it on the return. The worst is that it will come back dead. You take it late and lift it off the table. The...
  8. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Pleasantly surprising result. Chen finally has something like the one win that Lin Gapyang never had lol.
  9. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Your forearm usage is now better and you are committed to using it to drive the ball on both sides which is good. It's not the best way to play but it is one of the good templates for amateur players at a certain level and mastering how to use it to spin and drive eill take you far as long as...
  10. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Chen Xingtong is in the avatar state. Sun Yingsha had better enter it as well or she is going down.
  11. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Kanak has a winning record vs Tomo. You don't underestimate people you uave a losing record against unless you are plain stupid and Tomo is not.
  12. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

I guess Japan hopes that Harimoto bears Kanak and Truls exhausts Wang so that with less rest, he might be beatable by Harimoto. I don't think this plan will work but I give them credit for trying... (And in case it isn't obvious to anyone, I am joking...)
  13. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

You want him to depress Japan lol?
  14. Truls using new stuff from Stiga in Yokohama

He may have switched to the Wavy. But new rubbers is a possibility for sure.
  15. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

I don't think Kanak holding the table is as big a deal as it used to be, same with Harimoto.though both are much moee dangerous when their opponent is unable to force them back significantly. Both though clearly have enough power if not consistently to hit through people on demand.
  16. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

The draw is not his friend. I agree on his form, but the semifinal draw is not his friend.
  17. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Yeah, that sounds reasonable. Wang Yidi isn't going to play the Olympivs either and also has one bronze in WTTC singles so that sounds about right. KM is younger so good luck on that one. But since Sun Yingsha is playing well, CXT has no chance for a title, that is all I am saying.
