  1. Men's World Cup 2020

Jorgic has a very awkward game (think Bojan Tokic of sorts). Dima is someone Ma has played many times and who the Chinese team know inside out. I suspect a rematch with Jorgic would yield a different result in margin of victory after the coaches find places for Ma Long to target.
  2. Return of International TT Matches

Yes, he plays a countering style with fast whippy strokes. He rarely goes off balance to generate power. Basically Oh Sang Eun.

  4. Return of International TT Matches

Footwork still puny but forehand is better for sure. Clearly physical stronger.
  5. Men's World Cup 2020

I think Jorgic just played at a higher level than expected. Chinese rubber is usually slower than European/Japanese rubber. Harimoto I agree 100%.

  7. Return of International TT Matches

Don definitely needs help - he has a great voice but he doesn't really understand the sport.
  8. Return of International TT Matches

A great match - both players fought till the very end.
  9. Men's World Cup 2020

The easy upset in the next round is JWJ over KN. Close second is WCT over MF. I can barely see JYS over HC but HC is a beast usually. The rest are all straightforward since LP lost to DO.

  11. USA Lily Zhang new equipment

Thanks, Matt. How can you tell it is Rhyzer and not some other Joola rubber?
  12. All wood ALL+, OFF- blades

I think with the new plastic ball, OFF- is now ALL+ and many OFF are now what OFF- used to be. Only use an old ALL+ if you are too used to it or you don't play topspin offense as a priority. Tacky or spinnier rubbers can slow the blade down. Stiga Nostalgic series, Buttefly Korbel, Butterfly...
  13. Men's World Cup 2020

China only gets two players, and they already have the World Champion and the Asian Cup champion.
  14. Men's World Cup 2020

What happened to Boll? Didn't want to travel during the pandemic?
  15. Nittaku Fastarc G-1 on FH, Tibhar FX-P on bh on Stiga Nostalgic blade

Usually it doesn't make a difference what to use. You have to adapt to it and in doing so become a better player. It is almost never the equipment itself that causes this. It is almost always your training hours.
  16. Looking for offensive all-wood blades

Hahaha - it is a head heavy blade so 108g is a lot. But when you look at the vibration, which is a measure of its feeling, it is not an OFF+ blade. When you look at the speed, it is, but it isn't that much faster than an SZLC blade and this is with much more feeling. To me, it is no longer an...
  17. Looking for offensive all-wood blades

I have fallen in love (again) with the Mazunov. Getting thr lightest one you can find is a good idea. Will do a video review sometime.

  19. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Body is okay. Nothing new. Me I topspin and brush a lot, so as long as the ball holds and the rubber is good, arc is not a big deal. For hitting, I can see it being different. Usually I get plenty of arc with Mazunov.
  20. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Did you use it with celluloid or plastic ball? For me the main issue is head heaviness but other than that, it is easier for me to use than most fast carbon blades, even a Viscaria. And because I can't move well, the blocking is very important.
