  1. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Probably yes. I played him and lost as usual.
  2. First Bat Advice please

Interesting thread. If you get coaching, you can use whatever you want but something in the reasonable range (All+ to OFF blade, medium to medium hard rubber is best). If you don't get coaching, you will build up a lot of bad habits so it doesn't really matter. I think there are a lot of good...
  3. T2 APAC League 2017 | Grand Finals

Timo switches hands to give us another memorable highlight.
  4. Save the Rainforest

I love my hinoki top ply - don't dare try to take it away from me, you tree huggers! You will have to saw off my hand with the blade in it!
  5. TT Japan & IruIru

Yes they do. Except Butterfly stuff or any other excluded dealers. The idea that tt-japan would sell fake stuff is ridiculous to me. But people say that about ttnpp.com too and I have never experienced that there either. In fact, the one place I bought fake Tenergy 05 FX was a club in MD, USA.
  6. Good tacky rubber to use unboosted on forehand?

Your USATT if you don't mind my asking?
  7. Help Against Offensive Long Pips!

A side story but I remember when I was an up and coming 1100/1200 player. There was this guy who was 2100 in the club but because he had a car accident and missed playing with his right hand, he developed his left hand to a 1700 level or so. I struggled with his left hand and thought I was...
  8. Help Against Offensive Long Pips!

He is probably beating you with his C game. When you get better, you will really understand how good he is.
  9. Good tacky rubber to use unboosted on forehand?

I didn't like Battle 2. Too much effort - I preferred Big Dipper. If you are a brush spin Looper, I would definitely recommend MX-S. Haven't seen anything as versatile at it in terms of variation between spin, speed, short and flat game.
  10. Steffen Mengel completely freaks out!

I would be perfectly okay with 6 months, but I would be disappointed with a small fine, what he did was very reckless and could have injured the umpire under certain circumstances. I think people who toss their rackets should get significant suspensions too as these could easily ricochet and...
  11. World Junior Championships 2017

Well if you aren't worse Now, then there is hope for the kid. That is my point. There is temperament and there is refinement. Refinement comes with experience and knowledge. Some 15 yr ikds have temperament but no 15 year old has refinement. At least not on the level required to deal...
  12. World Junior Championships 2017

He is 15. No 15 year old has enough experience to know better.
  13. Steffen Mengel completely freaks out!

I have given up on complaining about illegal serves as umpires will not regulate them, especially the hidden ones.
  14. World Junior Championships 2017

There was a reason - it is called the Chinese front-runner. When a Chinese player gets a comfortable lead, they start taking greater risks. At the beginning of the third game you could see that Xue Fei came out to break him. The kid is 15, he had high expectations for himself and didn't like...
  15. Steffen Mengel completely freaks out!

He should be suspended without pay for at least one match. These TT outbursts should not be rewarded.
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

In the video below is an 81 year old chopper (He is about 1900-2000 now, his highest level in the current history was 2300-2400, may have been even higher when younger). Unfortunately, this was the only video I could get of him and he is playing another pips player so you may not appreciate how...
  17. World Junior Championships 2017

He is playing this year as well. He is still in Eslov I believe.
  18. World Junior Championships 2017

They pretty much all do, except the few with life accidents, injuries and character issues. There is a junior tour that gives rating points so it feeds the senior tour. Whether this will all change with the new rating system will be interesting.
  19. World Junior Championships 2017

The kid is a 15 year old prodigy being raised to be World Champion. What do you want him to Do? And he is probably more disappointed in his ability to perform on that stage. But I think people are just gratuitously criticizing him. Waldner wasn't humble either.
  20. World Junior Championships 2017

JesperStef, The girls final score is definitely wrong. It was deuce in the 7th after all... looks like you took the Girls SF score.
