  1. Austrian Open 2017

Fang Bo down 1-3, Lin and Gardos going to game 7. Today is going to be epic.
  2. Austrian Open 2017

Fang Bo is down 0-2 to Ng.... that will be interesting to watch as well.
  3. Austrian Open 2017

    You have jinxed him... LOL.
  4. Austrian Open 2017

At least 3 faults in the first game and at least 5 in the match. That he won despite so many fault calls is to his credit. Also credit the ump for making the call even if inconsistently. I think that if you toss the ball back towards you, the ball toss should be significantly high, though...
  5. Austrian Open 2017

The round doesn't matter he is the underdog. His first victory over a CNT player in over a decade and he had had chances vs ZJK. He played a CNT player who plays a lot like himself in the next round as Well, only a leftie. Even if he loses that one, this win has made his tournament as no...
  6. Austrian Open 2017

So you now don't have to take the anti-ZJK bias so personally - lol...
  7. Austrian Open 2017

It's him and Fang Bo. Fang hasn't won anything. So they are level.
  8. Austrian Open 2017

I see LJK's loss as facing a terrible matchup. Gardos is one of the best close to the table and backhand oriented male players in the world. Hard to play against such a style without specific advance preparation for it.
  9. Asian Cup 2017

LGY didn't play the singles event at National games because he didn't qualify - basically, FZD almost played every round of every event he was eligible for at a high level (he only went out "early" in XD). You can be very fit, but you are still human - rest matters and wear and tear happens...
  10. Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and India tt

Don't take this the wrong way, as you probably meant it in the nicest possible way, but this post should have asked more questions and made less statements. On Sathiyan: the strongest and highest level part of his game coming up was his blocking game, he developed his looping game to a higher...
  11. All things service

Yoshimura was hiding the serve with his head. Once that became harder for him to continue and people figured out how to read the serve regardless, his serve advantages were not as strong. He is still a dangerous and talented player.
  12. Why are Evolution rubbers still less popular than tenergy?

Who is the top Gewo player? Victas has Niwa and Duda, I believe. The level of the user matters and is the selling point. Aruna uses a 50+ degree (I have heard 58, but I am not sure) Rhyzm-P. Obviously he likely boosts it. One person who used Timo's and Samsonov's said the sponges were...
  13. Asian Cup 2017

Yes. Both Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong are part of China.
  14. European Team Championships 2017

The Boll-Freitas match was amazing. Freitas being unable to convert one of those match points changed the whole match. His play in general was inspiring and it was good to see him bring out the best of Timo Boll.
  15. European Team Championships 2017

His power is the one thing that consistently bothers Freitas and Monteiro (with Apolonia, the weather is important to check). There are no easy matches for Timo here except he gets to play Apolonia early.
  16. Why are Evolution rubbers still less popular than tenergy?

Usually, when someone posts that a nameless top 100 player contradicts my opinion from 2 years ago, my first question is that since I am not hiding my real name nor my videos, who is this top player? IT's been well established that what pros often use can have subtle differences from commercial...
  17. European Team Championships 2017

I suspected as much but didn't have the detail - to have 3 major players all out of action is a lot. Luckily, their top 2 are largely unaffected (though there seems to be the usual unhappiness that they are naturalized Germans).
  18. European Team Championships 2017

What is really interesting is that Sabine Winter and Petrissa Solja are not where they usually are. Even Kristin (Can't remember her new last name). Has Mittleham really surpassed them all?
  19. Why are Evolution rubbers still less popular than tenergy?

Responding to a post made 2 years ago in the way you made it given the changes in ball technology and even rubbers since I made it is deserving of the response BRS gave. You could add it to the debate as your own opinion. As a response to me, it is just ridiculous.
  20. European Team Championships 2017

Probably mild food poisoiing. Happens often enough.
