I think that most players think this, until they try to use LP/anti themselves. It's only then that you realise the weaknesses of the rubber, and how much skill it takes to play the shots that this guy plays so consistantly.

Whichever way you glue it, don't clamp the rubber too hard afterwards, or else the sponge will stick to the side of the pimples, resulting in very visible dents.

I find the sponge to be quite lively for a Chinese rubber. With a new sheet, the topsheet is actually tacky, so perhaps that accounts for the low bounce you experienced?

KTL XT Pro is light, and has a little catapult and good spin. I would not call it low throw though, but the throw depend a lot on how you strike the ball. It's a cheap one to try.
