  1. Anybody tried Air Assassin rubber?

Its decent, I think AK47 is much easier to use though. If you want to try it it's actually cheaper from Colestt than the ali link
  2. Anybody tried Air Assassin rubber?

I used this rubber a lot but it's been years since I last played with it. I'd say if AK47 Red is MXP, this would be the MXS. Firmer, have to work harder to juice it, but steadier performance.
  3. Alternative to Stiga Clipper and Intensity

I'd recommend the Yasaka Goiabao 5, fast and crispy blade but transparent feeling as with most 5 ply blades. Hard outer ply makes for a direct arc. Very similar to RWV but much cheaper
  4. Rasanter R42 & R45 alternatives

Its pretty old, they were definitely meant to be speed glued, at least I think it was discontinued around the time I started getting into club tt circa 2011-2012
  5. Rasanter R42 & R45 alternatives

Maybe for late generation tensors, but if memory serves me correct I believe there've been rubbers like Tibhar Makks that have used the thin-topsheet-thick-sponge marketing in the past
  6. Lack of spin in J3 39º

Maybe try to reglue it and see what happens. Might not specifically be a bad glue job but sometimes beating the rubber up a bit and then regluing it can "reseat" the rubber on the blade and make the rubber play a bit more naturally
  7. Tibhar zodiac Libra ZAC Review

Wow, I haven't seen anyone using Blit'z in years. I also have not heard anything about this blade before, the rectangular nameplate makes it appear quite similar to some Nittaku blades
  8. Butterfly 05fx alternatives

It might be still too hard if you found R42 too hard, but I think Nexxus Superselect 45 is a pretty suitable substitute for 05FX. I have also been using Baracuda as my main backhand rubber, it fulfills my needs for a solid-feeling but not too hard and high grip selection, but for your needs I...
  9. Thoughts on Hurricane Hao II Setup?

It is no Mazunov, that's for sure.
  10. Thoughts on Hurricane Hao II Setup?

Off++ is just DHS' factory rating, HHao 2/655 is just a 5 ply wood after all, certainly nowhere near off+ rating and more like low off to high off-. You should do fine, S2 might be a hair less grippy than the H+ but its been a while since I tried those. I have not tried DNA M for very long but...
  11. Thoughts on Hurricane Hao II Setup?

I think the new combo is just fine, but why not just get the same rubbers? I don't think you will necessarily gain or lose much from changing to the new combo, they are all in a pretty similar wheelhouse.
  12. Post your latest EJ purchase

    Are these special player versions?
  13. XIOM Solo, discontinued?

I can't find it from USA-based sources but I can find it on TT11, so I assume that it is indeed not stocked anymore at least for the US.
  14. Looking for a blade/set up recommendation

Blades aside, I found Rozena to maintain it's playing characteristics far longer than any Vega did for me. If you're playing a lot then that could be a deciding factor. But I do prefer how Vega X plays over Rozena
  15. Shakehand on a J-pen blade?

Biggest barrier is the shape of the handle. But if you've been playing with the setup in your signature compared to a shakehand setup with double inverted, that might be the reason why it is lighter, long pips carry much less weight than smooth rubber in general.
  16. Should I upgrade my blade or change rubber?

If you like the Long 5, why not try a Long 5X which is the same blade but thicker and a bit faster?
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Gozo with the hulk-mode fit 🤌
  18. China super league 2023

He got that dog in him, for that dog at home lol
  19. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Folks who have been playing long enough to remember Gambler Outlaw might be able to relate 😂 Feels like bubbling like this was much more common with Chinese rubbers back in the day
  20. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Seems like you're thinking about the rubber separating from the blade, this is the topsheet separating from the sponge
