I've probably been training too much lately, and the final straw was when I went in to reach for a very wide ball and hurt my back. It will get better in a few days, it's nothing much but enough to discourage me from playing. It's just on time: though. I have a ten day break, starting now...

No no no no, don't land on the whole foot. Some people claim that top athletes do: but they're just full of shit. It's obvious the heel comes after. However, don't land too far forward either. Trying to avoid the heel striking the ground too much will just cause major shin and calf overuse...

@UpSideDownCarl I'd been looking at videos and other resources earlier today. I can only find videos that talk about real "mid foot" landing ie: heel and ball at the same time. You mentioned what that is most likely to cause. That's not what I mean. I didn't see this kind of talk about...

@UpSideDownCarl Some make a distinction between "mid foot" and "landing on the ball of the foot". I thought it was common. You know what I'm talking about, so we're talking about the same thing, really. However whatever you do, don't run on concrete and don't heel strike barefoot. Do that...

I have some issues in my feet and shins/ankles. For tt, they only really get more tired than they probably would, but it's no issue. However I can barely run 2km in a Cooper test. I know I could do more, if my legs wouldn't refuse to work after a minute. I ran my Cooper test in socks, and my...
  6. What is your second passion?

Wait some time, then pull the plug. I'd hate it for a confusing spambot to get in contact with members who aren't too net-savvy.
  7. What is your second passion?

@UpSideDownCarl Kill all bots. No one uses bots for non-malicious activity without informing the site owner and moderators. Even if it's just a joke.

@NextLevel That sucks. If you were to stop playing for an extended time, it'd be a greater loss than assumed. No one else puts out as much video footage and knowledge. Let's hope it's just a minor issue. I played 6 - 6.5 hours of TT today. I focused on using the footwork patters that I know...

@OSPH Something felt that it wasn't right, now I know what it was. Played several hours today. I hate my footwork: it needs to be improved. I find myself reaching very often or off-balance. I guess this is just a product of hours of footwork drills and not much else. I just need to start...

Trained with the newbie today. He's starting to *really* topspin a bit. I kept telling him to "do a real topspin" and to "drop the pussy shit" and he eventually got it with enough direction. Even to me, it's nothing threatening, but it really does jump at me much faster than I would expect...

I haven't been playing much lately, but I've been doing a lot of drills and shadows. I think I am kind of "getting" footwork lately. My movement has become a little bit less bouncy and a bit more efficient and structured. I can do small adjustment hops when blocking.

I showed my dad NL playing once. My dad has knee and back issues. He knew immediately that something's not right with NL when he saw him walk. Anyone who has any knowledge about movement can see it.

I think @NextLevel knows what feels good and what does not a bit better than we do. It's absolutely moronic to give him advice on what to do, when he is saying "No, that won't work".

@EmRatThich I suggest you provide your credentials on your channel and maybe in your videos, if you can make it short. Just having your viewers at least hear from yourself what you claim to be gives them some kind of idea who they are listening to, and I don't think it will violate your privacy.

Are you trying to say that NL's footwork and backhands are not proper? I don't really understand your sense of humor.

No one has to pay you anything for you to show footage of yourself. This is just making you seem more and more like a fake.

EmRat, you are missing the point somewhat, I think. ttlondon2012, janus and ttcounternance have no need to post video of themselves playing, because they do not offer any tips or give direction. To my knowledge they just upload matches. The video type is entirely different. It's a poor argument...
  19. Throw angle of rubbers

@tropical Let me tell you, if you try to think of the game like an engineer, you will have a bad time. If you think you are such an expert and that you can explain the game so well with your scientific method, you will just proceed in an egoistic intellectual jerkoff as you have been doing...
