  1. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

No I really was 100% sure 1 per set/game ;-) oh my... Thanks, dingyibvs.
  2. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I got into discussion with my team players about timeout, while driving. I was convinced we can have 1 timeout per game, they told me we can have 1 timeout per match. I was ready to bet 400E on it ;-) but I guess it's good the bet was not realized. So now I think that in TT we have 1 timeout per...
  3. My FIRST Day competing in Germany

Hi Diago, congrats to your move to Germany, I used to live there too for good number of years. Before the match - something tangentially related - if I'd have to say what has the biggest impact on my health, then the answer is clear: fasting. I could write long about it, but I think it is the...
  4. Matches from a good angle to learn from where pros use W968

Main point of the thread was the GOOD angle, the good videos, and the fact that an amateur can get better viewing experience than the whole WTT. I better don't start about this rel. recent "improvement" in lightning... But some people will pick an irrelevant detail... I say, to each his own!
  5. What rubbers should I upgrade to?

For the BH you could try Vega Japan, for FH, as suggested the Vega Pro (or X my fav.). Alternatively, you could try Rakza X on FH, it is just a very very slightly harder than Vega X, and feels a bit directer. Both have excellent grip. Maybe Fastarc G1 feels that way to you, because it has a bit...
  6. Backhand rubber vega x ?

FWIW, I just glued Vega X on my blade and Tibhar MXP on friend's blade and measured the hardness. The Vega X was consistenly 47,5 and the MXP was 45. I must say I'm pretty happy that Vega X doesn't get super positive reviews. It makes the price good. But I guess this is just the sign of our...
  7. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

As good - is relative here. Someone prefers this, someone else prefers that. Just try - all the clouds will disappear ;-)
  8. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

Yes, it makes sense. Try the H3 prov H39 BS or OS, doesn't matter for now. If you like the feeling, use it. You can then decide whether you'd like harder or not. It's about your own preference, nothing else. You've choosen the H39 correctly, going from Rakza Z. Cheers.
  9. looking for non-bouncy grippy cheap rubbers

729 Super FX - you can get for under 10 EUR. The 1,5 thickness is sometimes available.
  10. New Xiom Jekyll and Hyde Rubbers

Could be. Btw. did you try NH3PTB? The heaviest and hardest beast, otherwise cool rubber.
  11. New Xiom Jekyll and Hyde Rubbers

Don't worry, with the 60/55 hardness of C1/C2 it's the same like with the tachometer in the cars.
  12. what new hybrid rubber?

As IB66 says, it is marketed as 60 on ESN scale, but when I measured it, it was approx. as hard as H3 H41, softer than NTH3PTB. If you are interested in it, start with C2. I think it is a quite good rubber, also rel. hard, the durability is not that excellent though.
  13. Comeback rubber recommendations?

Yes, to get back to rhythm and feel - and for that we need mostly practice and equipment which is not wrong. (E.g. I'd not recommend H3 H41 or something like that, or MXP or something too soft, so I'd say, something moderate.) But I can only say equipment which is not wrong, because we don't...
  14. Comeback rubber recommendations?

I too agree with that. Also thought about Rakza Z when I read OP's post. However, 1 thing interests me. Why do you recommend to take the same rubbers on both sides? I'd recommend to not do that.
  15. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I removed the used Rxton 9 rubber from the blade today and all the glue remained on the blade. Beautiful. From the blade in 1 piece. I guess it maybe due to the remains of old chinese/vietnamiese perfumed oils which I added to my booster mix. It not only makes it smell good ;-)
  16. I am looking for that 'effortless forehand topspin mechanics' tip

That's surprising. It's the same technique/mechanics for me. Don't be afraid to stand quite wide and low. That's good. It also means proper breathing, exhale and tightening abdomen at hit, is ingrained in you. I didn't see Craig's video, but when I hear "brushing contact" a red alert goes...
  17. I am looking for that 'effortless forehand topspin mechanics' tip

You could try to feel your foot ball (forefoot) on your right foot (if right-hander), that it starts from there, and propagates over the body - the kinetic chain. You name correctly the parts of that chain, but it is one thing. If you feel is starts down there - or essentially is done down there...
  18. Dwell Time .....

Well, the guy is on my ignore list, and I have accidentally seen this last post. And it is clear, the same BS on and on and on... What can I say, ignore-list is a good feature :ROFLMAO:
