Have you played short pips before? Seems a really interesting rubber. How have you found it? I myself am thinking trying pips again on bh (prob SPs) but maybe with more a defensive mindset.

T the wood certainly looks different - in terms of the way the grain is patterned (older/younger tree?) rather than type of wood. The ALC looks different also to me - but im not a blade maker. As Tony says be good to get there take on it.
