I found 1 layer of Revolution no. 3 x-treme power booster made quite a big difference to 09C. Faster, more responsive, just generally better really. Normally I find the effects of this booster to be fairly subtle, but long lasting. It had much more of an effect on the 09C than anything else...

Hi, are you able to give more specifications, such as the composition, thickness, average weight etc? Also the different characteristics of PBO, Para-aramid and Kevlar, especially as Kevlar is an Aramid itself. I think with this level of blade, one of the main things is being able to try them...

Thanks - I'll keep a look out. As I said, I really liked the top sheet on the regular Ghost, but it is a little slow. If there was an improved version with a faster, and possibly slightly lighter weight sponge, I would definitely buy it.

Hi, The official website mentions a blue sponge version of Sanwei Ghost, but no option to buy it. I recently tried the the regular version and thought the topsheet had a lot of potential so would be keen to try this. Do you know if this will be available soon? Thanks

Had the D09C ever been boosted?

Tibhar K1 Euro, Joola Golden Tango PS, Victas V11 Extra and Donic JP series don't seem to shrink. Tibhar EL-P shrinks less than MXP and FXP

Whilst you can minimise the shrinking, some rubbers just seem to shrink no matter what. The blue sponged rubber is a Spinlord Wyvern (made in China). The red is an MXP. These were both fitted by TT11, who I am sure don't stretch the rubbers when they fit them. The green one is and Andro Hexer...

They were/are made by 'Daiki' I think they have only been discontinued for western markets, but will continue in Japan, at least in the short term. Another rubber that could be along the same lines is SpinLord Tanuki, but I haven't tried that to confirm.

You can still get it from TT-Japan. The nearest thing made by ESN that comes to mind is Tibhar FX-S

It would be really interesting to find out how this blade with its more extreme difference in composition compares with the Koto / A-C / Ayous / Kiri / Ayous / A-C / Ash blade you made for me. (posted on this thread on 01-27-2021, very similar looking handle)

Could make sense if the rule was one serve from each side side of table, each time you served. if you could just choose or nominate a side, possibly not.

Out of interest, does the blue Aramid Carbon you have used in a couple of the recent builds, play any differently to the more yellow coloured one, or is it purely a cosmetic difference?

Were there any more photos where that one came from? I can't see the normal Butterfly ALC blue colour in the composite layer on that one, but it could well be just the angle or lighting in that image.

Yes, exactly this. Also there is something about how it feels in comparison to other woods that have a similar hardness which just seems to work with SP for me, this is probably just a personal preference though.

I like Ash as an outer ply for short pips. I'm sure as 5 ply blades go the Violin would be one of the better ones for SP, certainly worth trying.
