  1. Don't Move that Elbow and Upper Arm All Around You !!

Thank you, Richie. What you wrote is helpful. It should not be ignored. It was important for you, and it needed to be written. Might as well be crucial for someone else. There is many things on this forum, that I read several times, from different and even the same people (like how important is...
  2. Don't Move that Elbow and Upper Arm All Around You !!

Hi Richie, I'm so glad you chimed in. Yes, that discussion was started by you. And what I wrote here looks like I was speaking about you - I'm sorry. As I said, at the moment of that discussion, I didn't think about it much. Only later I realized that I don't give a d... about where my bat...
  3. Don't Move that Elbow and Upper Arm All Around You !!

You're right, especially on BH topspin, where the arm/hand doesn't stop-and-wait at the "end", but immediately returns a bit back like from itself. Well, it doesn't stop-and-wait in FH either, but there it doesn't feel so immediate...
  4. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

    Really interesting to hear top-profi.
  5. Help me choose a blade.

Can't comment on Gionis Carbon OFF and Andro Kanter FO OFF. You can look at Andro Treiber CO OFF. It is not as fast as it is declared, good hold, I think really great blade. If you prefer more kick (I don't), then Andro Treiber FO OFF. Some people prefer FO over CO, e.g. Damien Eloi from Andro...
  6. Help me choose a blade.

It was not apparent, because T05/T19 are 2nd most expensive rubbers. How long do you play? In case you are starting now, I'd recommend good 5-ply wood like Butterfly Korbel. With rubbers, if you don't insist on T05/T19, take Palio AK47 (e.g. on Ali), AK47 Blue for BH and AK47 Red for FH.
  7. Help me choose a blade.

Primorac Carbon (PC) is very fast, Stiga Infinity VPS (SIV) is on the slower side. See here, they do have very similar dwell (hold, or kick), so they are in a way similar, just PC is much much faster. There is a lot of blades in between, speed-wise. Did you try a blade with deeper hold? I...
  8. Don't Move that Elbow and Upper Arm All Around You !!

Hi M&P, He used/uses T05 FX on the BH, afai remember. You meant it in the sense that there are more than 1 healthy way. When I said I prefer the compact one, I meant it in the sense that I prefer the healthy one over the un-healthy one. My wording was not optimal. Let me explain. Some time...
  9. TableTennisDaily Academy - Take your game to the next level!

I liked Dan's live-commenting recently. Like little bit from the background, not so prominent... I know it takes two, to make one appear so and the other one so, both needed... It's just, I like that particular style... (I'm again off topic - my usual mistake).
  10. Don't Move that Elbow and Upper Arm All Around You !!

My 2 cents. When playing BH drive, the relative position of elbow to the hand (whether it is higher or not), makes a big difference in shoulder (whether it is strained or not). When playing BH topspin, the hand will usually start lower than elbow. The stroke should end up with elbow down, as...
  11. Replacement for Dignics09c?

Just in (the improbable) case you didn't read it yet: https://blog.tabletennis11.com/four-new-hard-sponged-rubbers C1/C2 are pretty good rubbers, imo. This metallic feeling - good observation/expression - is there indeed. The C1 is slower on slow balls, but faster on fast balls (than C2). Spin...
  12. World Table Tennis Star Contender Doha 2021

The ALKASS channel (Qatar) works for me - select "four" in there. XYZ SPORTS doesn't work for me.
  13. Short Pic Vid of a typical City/Regional Korean TT Tourney

JJM vs the Div3 lady with glasses - I bet 5 beers on the lady with glasses, 3:1 if played with no handicap :-)
  14. Tibhar MX-D

Battle 2 gold - in Beo Store on Ali - looks good, but will it look so in real? I'd not put my hand to fire for it... Edit: It seems only H40 is like that. Too hard for BH. Unless you want to go LJK style...
  15. Short Pic Vid of a typical City/Regional Korean TT Tourney

Thanks for the Div3 match I asked for (#35). In 2:43 - a guy is going over the court and the pen-holder player - rotated backwards to him of course, so he can't see him - almost hits him, and the guy's expression in face like: "watch out man, what the ..., you almost touched me..." :-) But the...
  16. Short Pic Vid of a typical City/Regional Korean TT Tourney

Thank you for these 3 matches with the guy in red Nexy shirt (#31, #33 and #34), which culminates with YHG. The comment after the first match left me confused, the second cleared it - the match against Div0 was great, pitty, he led 7:1, I thought it's done. The Div0 guy has weapons, but I prefer...
  17. New Rubber - Donic Blue-Grippie V1-S-T Version

Even you, as a native speaker, occasionally miss a hyphen symbol here and there :-)
  18. Short Pic Vid of a typical City/Regional Korean TT Tourney

Thanks. Understand, so her level is more like Div 4, very good. Now I saw players from Div 5 (lady, officially Div 7, but you said she would be typical male Div 5), Div 4 (herself - JJM), Div 2 (Haruka), Div 1 (Park Ji Soo), and level above (Chmp Lg to Pro - the guy who played with PJS). Would...
  19. Xiom Omega VII Euro vs...

I see, you are approaching from the true tension rubbers, I don't have much exp. with those... I had Rakza Z on FH and Rakza X on BH for a while, and I thought RZ was too soft on FH, and that I prefer RZ to RX on BH. The H3Ns I have now are commercial (37 BH, 41 FH) orange sponge. It's good...
  20. Kim Jung Hoon covers basic FH stroke fundamentals - Intro

Hi Der, I've somewhat lost this thread... hrmmm. I've checked this. Let's say I try to play max spin againt backspin cross-court, couple of balls, and then I decide to play one down the line. I noticed I often miss, because the naive approach of doing it by wrist doesn't work reliably in max...
