  1. Which rubbers come with the glue-layer on sponge and plastic cover on sponge?

I never understood the boosting steps. I never really understood why you need to apply a water based glue layer and all that. I just apply the booster directly to the sponge and wait for it to expand. It seems to work fine for me, but not sure if I'm missing out on something big?
  2. Which rubbers come with the glue-layer on sponge and plastic cover on sponge?

Wow good job. I'm also a really big fan of Big Dipper, I think it's really a unique and underrated rubber. Where is your original review? I'd like to read it. How do you see the differences between BD and Jupiter 3? Having played just one session with Jupiter 3, I'm also very impressed by it...
  3. Which rubbers come with the glue-layer on sponge and plastic cover on sponge?

Do Big Dipper and Jupiter 2 also come with the sponge-side plastic and pre-glue?
  4. considering yinhe v-14 pro

Yeah, I also think Koto in the medial layer would be strange, but that's what the XVT seller told me on Aliexpress. So i just went by what they said, but maybe they were mistaken. In any case, when I hit with the XVT bat, it was extremely stiff to me. But it had a really strange and old rubber...
  5. Has anybody ever boosted AK47 red?

Did you feel any extra boost in speed or spin?
  6. Anybody else find HK1997 Gold a lot softer than its advertised?

I agree with slow and soft. I was surprised by this because ak47 is fast, and hk1997 is labeled as hard sponge.
  7. Has anybody ever boosted AK47 red?

Did the boosted ak47 feel too mushy? I think some rubber dont really benefit from booster. I put a little booster on Presto Speed Max, and i dont think it was better.
  8. Anybody else find HK1997 Gold a lot softer than its advertised?

Yeah, my HK1997 just by pressing it down feels a lot softer than AK47, mainly because the HK1997 is more porous. Is your HK1997 more porous?
  9. Has anybody ever boosted AK47 red?

Has anybody ever tried boosting AK47 red sponge? It's a fairly hard sponge, so it may be able to take on a light layer of boosting. If you have tried, how did the performance change?
  10. Anybody else find HK1997 Gold a lot softer than its advertised?

I tested this rubber out for a little. I was curious about this rubber because of the very high speed rating on Revpsin (8.9) and because of the very impressive performance of Palio's AK47. This is one of those rubbers where the rating is completely detached from reality. It is nowhere near...
  11. Which rubbers come with the glue-layer on sponge and plastic cover on sponge?

I tried this Jupiter 3 rubber. I thought it would be similar to H3N, because there are a lot of H3 clones out there. But its nowhere near as tacky as H3, and its quite a bit bouncier than H3. It's actually very similar to Big Dipper. It's spinny enough, and on the fast side for a tacky rubber...
  12. Which rubbers come with the glue-layer on sponge and plastic cover on sponge?

I don't think all yinhe rubbers are like this. Moon speed isn't like this I believe.
  13. Which rubbers come with the glue-layer on sponge and plastic cover on sponge?

I just cut a new sheet of Yinhe Jupiter 3 onto my blade. The sponge side of the rubber was covered by a plastic cover. Under the plastic cover, there is a glossy and slightly sticky layer of glue on the sponge side. Clearly this is a indication that the rubber was factory tuned, and I guess the...
  14. Anybody else find HK1997 Gold a lot softer than its advertised?

I just cut a new sheet of Palio HK1997 Gold, which is labeled as 49d hardness. 49d hardness should be quite hard, I guess something like 38-39d on DHS scale. But I found that the rubber is very soft, more along the lines of 42d hardness. Has anybody else found that this rubber is ALOT softer...

How do you have extra time to play table tennis? I imagine getting into top high schools would take up all your extra time from studying
  16. I Graduated!

Is your school a special sports school? or a normal public school? or a private school?
  17. I Graduated!

This is your middle school gym? Why does it look so nice and professional?
  18. considering yinhe v-14 pro

For spin/control, I would rank 1) Fang Bo carbon. This is a inner alc blade, so it has the most woody dwell time 2) Pro 01 alc. This is a outer alc blade, but quite thin 3) V14Pro. outer alc blade slightly thicker than the Pro01. So it gets better speed than the 01 4) XVT ALC. Unusual blade that...
  19. considering yinhe v-14 pro

I have the B2. Fang Bo Carbon is the same blade as the B2, just some people call it by different name. B2X is thicker and stiffer, so you probably lose some of the feel and dwell time.
  20. considering yinhe v-14 pro

Fang Bo is a inner carbon blade, so its better for overall touch and feel, push, and dwell time than V14 Pro.
