  3. Loki Rubbers

So what did you do with your old GTX rubber that you gave up on? Are you just throwing it away? After playing several games with the GTX, I can really feel myself losing a lot more points with this rubber. I can't get as much spin as I could with boosted H3, and the straight trajectory causes...
  4. Look at my 25 year old Sriver.

The rubber is heavily oxidized and hard as plastic. Some 2000 level player gave this rubber to me when I was like 11 when he saw me playing with some crappy rubber. I just found this and didnt even know I still had it.
  5. trying to pick a balanced setup

Well obviously OP is asking on TTD because he doesn't have another coach or voice to give a better opinion. So i don't see how saying "get a coach" is helpful to him.
  6. trying to pick a balanced setup

Well I disagree with Lodro on this. On picking a wife, yes you only got one shot and if you pick wrongly you will mess up your life very badly. On picking a table tennis racket, its pretty hard to get something that is not playable and not enjoyable. Even OP's original racket idea would be...
  7. trying to pick a balanced setup

You can boost it if you want to make it even faster, but it's not necessary. These equipment are naturally already quite fast. These rubbers are faster than the boosted H3 probably. Tape doesn't really matter. I just use the free tape that some sellers sent me when I bought blades and rubbers...
  8. trying to pick a balanced setup

ALC Blade Could be a good, balance choice as well.
  9. trying to pick a balanced setup

Wood blade is fine of course, but if you want something fast and good value, then I would recommend a Chinese ALC or ZLC blade. Stuor has really impressed me, and probably the best bang for the buck in my opinion. Tacky rubber is good, but the H3 you listed is very very slow. So I think you...
  10. trying to pick a balanced setup

I don't really know what you mean by "expand on it". But, you could get a very nice offensive setup of Stuor ZLC, Arthur China (which was recommended by another member), and Friendship Presto for cheaper than your initial setup. Stuor Blade Arthur China Friendship Presto Speed
  11. Loki Rubbers

It's interesting that you like the GTX rubber. Several others on the forum have commented that they don't like the trajectory of the GTX.
  12. trying to pick a balanced setup

If you're already on Aliexpress, I would highly recommend for blades: DHS Fang Bo Inner ALC Stuor Harimoto Inner ZLC clone FH Rubbers: Friendship Bloom Power/Speed Yinhe Big Dipper or Jupiter 3 BH Rubbers: Friendship Presto Speed Max AK 47 Red Yinhe Moon Speed Loki T3
  13. Do you boost your ESN rubber after factory tuning wears off?

That is interesting. I was always under the impression that booster increases the throw angle.
  14. Do you boost your ESN rubber after factory tuning wears off?

How many layers did you boost it? Did you find that it make the rubber mushy at all? some people have warned against that.
  15. trying to pick a balanced setup

Do you have an idea of your USATT rating? I would say I'm about 1500 with a FH loop oriented style, and I would find DHS H3 on Ma Lin Extra Offensive blade too slow for my style. Especially if you don't plan to boost your rubber, I would personally find the H3 rubber lacking in bounciness...
  16. Do you boost your ESN rubber after factory tuning wears off?

Does anybody boost the brand new esn rubber? The linked article seems to suggest that.
  17. Do you boost your ESN rubber after factory tuning wears off?

How much do you think does reboosting bring back? If new is 100, and after boosting is gone, is it a 80? If you reboost it, how close to the original is it?
  18. Do you boost your ESN rubber after factory tuning wears off?

Is this article implying that most of the China Super League players boost both their FH Chinese rubber as well as their ESN/BTY backhand rubber?
  19. Do you boost your ESN rubber after factory tuning wears off?

I'm sure it plays very fine, but I'm just curious about what the effect of re-tuning ESN rubbers is. Who has tried re-tuning ESN rubber, and what is the result?
  20. Do you boost your ESN rubber after factory tuning wears off?

After your ESN factory boosting wears off, do you boost your ESN rubber to try to re-claim the original performance? How close does it get the rubber back to the original performance?
