  1. New Hurricane King for Wang Chuqin

There's already three Hurricane Kings named after Wang Liqin... (King = Wang in Chinese) can't they call this something else?
  2. Aliexpress has big annual sale in 1 week. Are you getting something?

Just bought a Palio CAT with two 61 seconds rubbers with 1.5 mm thickness, planning to have fun with a super light bat for some inverted chopping. In addition, a sheet of Palio AK47 Red for backhand at some point.
  3. Chinese all boosting, yet never caught red handed/ Why?

The Chinese certainly don't have a problem with using Japanese Butterfly rubbers :)
  4. Chinese all boosting, yet never caught red handed/ Why?

The Japanese should learn more about affordable Chinese rubbers! :D I agree that expensive equipments are not necessary, at least until what I consider to be "advanced" level. My previous setup had top ESN rubbers (MXS, Omega 7 Euro) which are great when I am looping a few meters away from the...
  5. Chinese all boosting, yet never caught red handed/ Why?

Japan TT players have their own unique perferences. I remember seeing Mark V in top 10 like forever... On the other hand, wouldn't ESN raising price v.s. Butterfly dropping price on Rozena/Glayzer suggests that ESN is catching up with Butterfly? IMO price rising is inevitable, even with Chinese...
  6. Aliexpress has big annual sale in 1 week. Are you getting something?

The tack did reduce after 1 month, but it hasn't hurt my game yet. My opponents still dump my backspin serve into the net and struggle with my brush loops. Not sure about boosting, I did not boost it myself; it comes with factory boosting.
  7. Some updated information from SANWEI

If you ignore thickness and whatever processing that might be done to alter the properties of the wood, then yes. Although "much softer and slower" is quite subjective.
  8. SDC Handmade Blades

Have you ever tried making a thin (~6 mm), Balsa-core offensive blade (with or without composite)? All regular Balsa-core blades seem to be quite thick (7 mm+).
  9. Aliexpress has big annual sale in 1 week. Are you getting something?

Yeah I think LiNing bought DHS. DHS could do what they have done with GoldArc, which is a ESN rubber. They also collaborate with Nittaku to some extent.
  10. Aliexpress has big annual sale in 1 week. Are you getting something?

Seems like a rubber designed for BH to me, given its hardness only goes up to 38 deg. I think 39/40 are the most common hardness for FH Chinese rubbers. I am using 38 deg Jupiter 3, which costs ~60% of a H8-80 according to aliexpress. I doubt H8-80 would perform a lot better than J3, if at all...
  11. Aliexpress has big annual sale in 1 week. Are you getting something?

    - It's more expensive than other Chinese brands because the CNT uses it. - A lot of people think Hurricane 3 is far superior than anything else, which I disagree with. H3 could be the best rubber ever for Ma Long etc., but i don't believe it is the best rubber for everyone. - DHS is a "lazy" big...
  12. Chinese all boosting, yet never caught red handed/ Why?

That would be nice, however I have noticed that most recent developments from non-DHS Chinese brands have been on blades with all kinds of ALC. Maybe it is more difficult to crack the code of rubbers.
  13. Chinese all boosting, yet never caught red handed/ Why?

I don't think making Rozena/Glayzer cheaper would do the trick, Butterfly would at least need to reduce the price of Tenergies if not Dignics to knock top ESN rubbers like Platinums, Rasanters and Omegas out of the market. I'm in the UK, and the price of Tenergies in local stores are in the...
  14. Chinese all boosting, yet never caught red handed/ Why?

Are there any reports publicly available for the market shares? I'd expect ESN to survive as long as they still have Truls, Hugo (is XIOM rubbers ESN?), Lebruns, Gauzy etc.
  15. WTT Singapore Smash 2023

Thank you for your review. Doesn't sound too appealing if it needs boosting and is already super heavy and hard.
  16. WTT Singapore Smash 2023

Besides that, how does it playing characteristic compare to DHS H3s?
  17. WTT Singapore Smash 2023

Are the Nittaku H3 closer to hybrid rubbers? All I have heard about them is that they are extra heavy.
  18. Aliexpress has big annual sale in 1 week. Are you getting something?

Products in the "affordable" range (<=25 USD) are safe in my experiences. But I would stick to non-DHS Chinese brands only.
  19. WTT Singapore Smash 2023

Pretty sure non-Chinese players could get W968 and Hurricane 3 Nationals if they want to. There are some reports saying Ishikawa and Hayata are using Nittaku Hurricane 3. The H2 blade is also the same composition as Long 5/W968. I am not sure how much the equipment contributes. If it's such a...
