  1. Chinese all boosting, yet never caught red handed/ Why?

I thought Japanese and German rubbers are more similar than to Chinese rubbers. Is that not true?
  2. What does Rakza 7 play like?

The Rakza series is/was the top rubber series of Yasaka, whereas the target audience of Vega is mainly intermediate players. Omega series is the top rubber series of Xiom. Just because Rakza and Vega are the same generation of ESN doesn't mean they are rubbers of the same caliber (at least from...
  3. What does Rakza 7 play like?

    Sounds like CJ8000 to me...
  4. What’s NOT good with Rozena?

In what way the Dignics fail you? Too hard? Too fast and uncontrollable? or other reasons?
  5. I lost my spark for playing TT

Equipment Junkie i.e. keep trying different equipment when there isn't a real need to do so.
  6. I lost my spark for playing TT

yeah...EJing would make one stuck with TT forever :D
  7. Sample Time

probably rubbers that are easy for players who used to play with esn rubbers to transition to.
  8. Why does it seem like I play to the level of my opponent?

Start giving yourself some handicap mentally then, it seems to work for you.
  9. Why does it seem like I play to the level of my opponent?

Just ask your LP chopper coach to mix up his feed.
  10. Why does it seem like I play to the level of my opponent?

whilst 11-1 is an one-sided game, it could happen between players of similar level as well. Liu Shiwen had 11-0 games against Ding Ning and Chen Meng respectively in 2019 WTTC, that doesn't prove that she is much better (she did win WTTC at the end, but the overall level of all these players are...
  11. Why does it seem like I play to the level of my opponent?

I've seen several players with similar problems, and they all have lots of coaching. For them, my observation is that they are particularly good at handling the orthodox two-wing looping opponent who would give them good quality topspin balls that they are very familiar with due to feeds from...
  12. How low/wide should the stance be?

Put your racket holding forearm-elbow on the table, and then find a stance that is comfortable and stable for that. That is usually a good stance to hit the ball at around net height I.e. most of the shots.
  13. Sample Time

is Rxton 1's quality close to CJ8000?
  14. Long handle for penhold style

Hi all, I find it difficult to find Chinese penhold models in the UK. I am wondering if anyone tried playing penhold style (hopefully RPB) with flared/straight handles. My guess is the long handle would make the blade more head-light, which is not a bad thing for me as that should be easier on...
  15. USTTA rating v.s. expected win-rate

The curve(s) I drew are based on USATT rules, which is probably based on real data. But as per my calculation, it doesn't have any real match result as direct input. It is simply an alternative way to express the USATT rating rules.
  16. USTTA rating v.s. expected win-rate

No, it doesn't care if you break all the bones in your body. If your rating is >238 higher than your opponent then you are expected to win 100% of your game. On the other hand, a 2000 player could probably beat a 1000 player without moving their feet.
  17. USTTA rating v.s. expected win-rate

f(x) is the original quadratic fit. I'm using a piecewise fit. y should be 1 if x >=238 because if when x>=238, the higher-rated player gains 0 rating point i.e. they are expected to win 100%. If this is wrong then you'd need to explain a bit more coz I don't get what you are getting at. And no...
  18. Do you play with equipment above your level?

not getting to the ball is rarely the fault of the bat unless it's 1kg :D
  19. Do you play with equipment above your level?

Typical symptoms of using a too advanced setup are difficulties with blocking, short pushes and soft touches. And when these problems go away when switching back to a slower setup, then you know it's the bat, not the person.
  20. Is body type giving any form of advantage?

I think one factor missing from your argument is the playing style. Ni Xia Lian for example, is probably slower and has less muscle than 99% of her opponents (although she's probably the fittest 58 year old lady in the world). Fitness would matter more if both players are offensive two-wing loopers.
