I predict Hayata will end the year WR#4. She will probably pick up her 3rd WTT Contender tomorrow before taking a week break ahead of WTT Champions Frankfurt. She was also the best doubles player in XD today.

Miwa's eyes line up to about Sora's lips. From there to his eyes is at least 2 inches (~5 cm) probably closer to 3 inches. But easily more than 2 cm (not even 1 inch).

Well, Matsushima just beat one of Japan's top players on an international stage so there's that. He also took down Quadri this tournament and a number of other really good players in other senior WTT tournaments (Freitas, LSS, Cho Seungmin, and Dima) and has beaten a number of Chinese juniors...

Even though he's so laid back and doesn't look engaged, Matsushima was easily the best player of the four out there. His placement was excellent and plays within himself allowing Miwa to flourish, and poor Hayata was often on the receiving end of his loop bombs. If he keeps this up, why not...

Quadri shouldn't feel too bad. Sora Matsushima has been playing really well beating players like a surging Freitas, LSS, Cho Seungmin, and Dima.

It was just a poor decision to use the previous year's result as you can run into situations exactly like this. It should have been based on the latest ITTF women's team ranking in which China and Japan are rightfully #1 and #2.
