  1. Chinese National Games 2017

Agree, and what a great avatar.
  2. Timo Boll Interview: About 80% of pro's are using illegal rackets

To be anywhere in Japan in the spring is one of life's great privileges. I love Japan.
  3. Stiga quality

If they are sloppy about what you can see, they are probably more sloppy about things you can't. Hence blades delaminate etc. It all goes together.
  4. Timo Boll Interview: About 80% of pro's are using illegal rackets

It was just Tenergy, but nice because cheaper from Japan back then.
  5. Timo Boll Interview: About 80% of pro's are using illegal rackets

Back when you could still buy T05 from foreign dealers I would occasionally buy it from tt-japan or iruiru. I never noticed anything different. This was in the late 2000s, before Btfly demanded that you could only buy from you regional dealer. I wasn't looking to find a difference and...
  6. Timo Boll Interview: About 80% of pro's are using illegal rackets

I certainly don't think that my experience with MX-P would necessarily apply to all ESN rubbers (I haven't tried all that many in recent years). MX-P is quite unusual because of the intensity of the booster smell right out of the package, which is my guess as to why to why it shrinks...
  7. Andro Rasanter r47 shrinks (alternative, no shrinking, esn, hybrid rubbers?)

In the case of MX-P, the reason I knew that it shrank is because it no longer fit my blade! But it would not shrink on the blade. It was possible to boost it back to the size of the blade. (By the way, I never apply any tension at all when I attach rubbers, and this is behavior that is not...
  8. Stiga quality

As a more general statement, independent of what happened to the OP, it seems like there are two different issues with Stiga. First, the fit and finish of the blades is not what it used to be, especially given the price point for a lot of their stuff. Badges should be even, and flush with the...
  9. Zhang Jike - News, Pics, Videos & more

It is possible in sports for players to make successful comebacks. It is also rare. Players have to work differently and smarter than they did when they first came up. First, they have to actually recover from tbe injury.
  10. Watching pros makes you better, and we should watch women players

Play slow high and vary spin. Take one step back and just bring balls back. There is some video of Jorgen Persson playing Ding Ning in Chicago in 2012. Not real serious play but not exactly an exhibition either. She basically had no chance against him since he is too smart to try to beat her...
  11. Andro Rasanter r47 shrinks (alternative, no shrinking, esn, hybrid rubbers?)

In my experience that did not prevent MX-P from shrinking once you take it off the blade - pretty much immediately upon removing it. However, it never shrunk while it was still on my blade. I suspect it is a feature of the type of factory boosting they do. Not all rubbers do that.
  12. Watching pros makes you better, and we should watch women players

Germany has a history of producing female players like that. Nicole Struse comes to mind.
  13. How rubbers' "Control" should be read?

The question is, "control" of what? I find those ratings meaningless. A lot of the time it is just the inverse of speed.
  14. Watching pros makes you better, and we should watch women players

Yes, it was some years ago when I started watching women play more than I had in the past. I really concentrate a lot on how they move their feet. Table tennis is choreography. You have to learn where to put your feet to move in the most efficient way possible. And women are incredibly...
  15. What would a championship winning penholder have to be like today?

This person would play like Wang Hao only just a little better. Not a lot. Just a little. Make him maybe a little quicker on his feet, perhaps a bit fitter. Penhold is viable, and people forget how good he was in his prime (and how Ma Long couldn't get past him for a long time). I know people...
  16. Does normal glue work?

The reason I asked is that it depends a bit on the price of your rubbers and your blades and other things that could happen. As PolishTT17 mentioned, some glues will be impossible to get off your blade. I don't know about Uhu, but it is a resin-based adhesive so I would worry about that a lot...
  17. Watching pros makes you better, and we should watch women players

ZYN would beat Mark Hazinski every time. Blaszyk probably should have beat her then but was in really bad form and got nervous. And of course, this was not any ordinary woman player!
  18. Does normal glue work?

What kind of rubber do you use?
  19. Watching pros makes you better, and we should watch women players

I do remember a video where Jorgen Persson just took a couple of steps back and just brought back every ball Ding Ning sent to him until she got off balance and he looped one too hard for her. But he was always smart. She really didn't have enough power to get the ball by him and he is pretty...
  20. Watching pros makes you better, and we should watch women players

I think once top men get accustomed to the way women play then they have no problem at all. You can't try to play at their pace close in. It occurs to me that if someone was preparing to play Harimoto, training with women might be helpful.
