  1. Need opinions on Hinoki blades

I think Carl and Lazer are right. You can play anything you like with your Jonyer. I always play hard forehand rubbers and soft backhand rubbers on my Darker blade. So I have both types on one blade and it works for me. I really love the soft and amazing feelig of hinoki, even hard Chinese...
  2. Need opinions on Hinoki blades

Your Butterfly Jonyer Hinoki blade was a very popular all–Hinoki 5ply back in the day. Today it is a quite sought after item for collectors. Great choice, have fun with it!
  3. Are Haifu rubbers good?

Might be a problem in official tournaments or league play as well, at least in Germany. If he only wants to train with these rubbers that doesn‘t matter, of course.
  4. Are Haifu rubbers good?

I think some of them are quite good. But you should check If they are still on the LARC list.
  5. Rubber recommendations for new Super ZLC blades

You can play any rubber you like on the FZD SZLC, the blade doesnt determine the rubbers, your personal taste does (and your abilities). I have two players in my club who play with the ZJK SZLC, they both play Xiom Vega X on both sides. They arent hitters, they just like the crispiness of the...
  6. Need opinions on Hinoki blades

Here are my suggestions: 1. Darker 7p-2a, a 7ply all-hinoki blade, 6,5 mm thick (off-). This is a moderately fast blade with a very good feel. It would pair very well with your rubbers. 2. Darker 5p-2a 5ply, a hinoki-hybrid blade (has two lindenwood plies next to the core), 6,5mm thick, it...
  7. Clipper like vs Inner Carbon

I think your forehand rubber is just fine. You cant go wrong with G1. With 1500 TTR you can play everything you like IMO. If you like controlled mid distance looping, go with a with some kind of innerlayer carbon blade with limba outers (like your Samsonov Force Pro Black). HL5, Donic Ovtcharov...
  8. Backhand rubber for fast development

Xiom Vega Europe, Tibhar FX–S or FX–P are all 42,5 degree (mediums soft) rubbers and are good for learning. If you want to go softer buy Rakza 7 soft (40 degrees) for more control.
  9. Darker Hinoki 5p-2a

Darker handles vary in thickness. All blades are handmade so there are slight variations. Those I own - 5P2A, 7P2A Carbon, 7P2A.05 - between 23,5 and 25mm. Maybe you can ask your online supplier of choice for a speciment with a more chunky handle. Nexy used to make the Tamar V (5ply hinoki)...
  10. Darker Hinoki 5p-2a

    I found the handle measurements on a Japanese website. Here they are: - Shakehand - Flare (blade size: 257 x 150 mm, grip size: 100 x 23mm) - Shakehand - Straight (blade size: 257 x 150 mm, grip size: 100 x 23mm)
  11. Darker Hinoki 5p-2a

I have played with it for three years. I own three . What do you mean with large? Thickness or length? FL handle length is standard I would say, thickness is roughly like Korbel, a bit thinner over all. The blade is 6.5mm thick, so the handle is not as thin as for example Nittaku Acoustic or...
  12. I own a Fang Bo B2X, ask me anything.

Well, I told you so in a different thread, didn't I?
  13. Hurricane Long 5 GOLDEN version review

    Crazy money for a blade.
  14. Change of tactics as one ages

You can win a lot of points if you improve on serves, if you add new variants to your game. I used to use pendulum and backhand serves a lot (side-/underspin, topspin, empty, long and short). Over the last years I have added hook serve, revers pendulum and tomahak serves. It works.
  15. Change of tactics as one ages

I have the same problems. I used to play forehand all the time and made most of the points with 3rd or 5th ball attacks, now I cant do this anymore. I think there are a few things that can be done: improve backhand, improve serve and improve receive game. I‘ve been working on these things quite...
  16. Experience with balsa carbon blade?

There are two people in my club who play with balsa carbon blades, but they use the Gewo balsa carbon 775 and 575. The one with the thicker blade (775) is a hitter, the one with the thinner 575 uses long pimples on the forehand and an inverted rubber on the backhand. He plays a disruptive close...
  17. Fastarc C1 and G1

Thanks for your reply, Thomas. Will probably try the Target 43 in the near future. I've seen that its available for 37 Euros in a German online shop. As for now I am very happy with T05FX as my bh rubber. Best I've tried so far.
  18. Fastarc C1 and G1

Thomas, what sponge hardness does the Rakza X soft have? 40 degrees like Rakza 7 soft? And by the way, have you ever tried one of the Cornilleau Target Pro GT rubbers? I was wondering if the 43 might be a cheaper alternative to T05FX?
  19. What is the closest clone of Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive?

Well, good example of a good player talking absolute bs. He also says that HL5/W698 is harder than the Viscaria. 🤣 Innerforce blade with soft Limba top ply (HL5) vs. outer carbon blade with hard Koto top ply (Viscaria). Sorry, Dude...I'm out now. Good luck for your quest.
