  1. What is the closest clone of Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive?

Of course he didn't say that explicitly because that would have offended Donic (making them look like counterfeiters). I have no clue how the speed ratings on revspin come about. Primorac Carbon is the fastest blade you can get (its Off++, it has a thick core, Tamca 5000 carbon and Hinoki...
  2. What is the closest clone of Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive?

Interesting comment for so many reasons... One of the most tenacious misconceptions about the HL5 is that it's a fast blade, but it isn't. Read here: https://ttgearlab.wordpress.com/2019/02/18/dhs-hurricane-long-5-3-overview-lab-test/ Long 5 is only a bit faster than Korbel, Long 3 is as fast...
  3. What is the closest clone of Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive?

Don't know about Sanwei or Yinhe, but the Yasaka Athletico Power and the Donic Ovtcharov No 1 Senso are HL5 clones.
  4. Viscaria blade rubber

In the first thread you have been asked what your USATT rating is and if you could post footage of yourself playing. The forum members need more information about you and your level/style of play in order to give you an advice. It's not enough to state that you have a Viscaria blade or that you...
  5. Darker 5 CNF

Hey Sam, did you play a little bit more with it now? I'm still very keen on hearing your thoughts on the blade. 😊
  6. Yinhe blade equivalents

Everything is ok so far. Second half of the season of our local league has been postponed because of Omicron, but we are still allowed to train. So plenty of time to test some equipment. 😂 Hope your settling back works out fine! Do try to post from time to time!
  7. Pip structure for inverted rubbers.

This post might answer some of your questions: https://ttgearlab.wordpress.com/2017/02/13/three-typical-pimple-geometires-of-new-generation-tension-rubbers/
  8. Yinhe blade equivalents

Nice that you are back! Been missing your thoughtful posts!
  9. Spinny setup

If you want a significantly more controlled and spinny blade, buy Korbel Japan. It will make it much easier to create spin as it is softer and has Limba as a top ply and not Koto (more dwell and forgiveness). Put two T05s on it and you are done.
  10. Darker 5 CNF

    Any impressions yet?
  11. Darker 5 CNF

Very curious of how it plays. I'm a big Darker fan myself.I own three different blades of the 2A-series.
  12. Which serve good for forehand attack clockwise side-spin or anti-clockwise side-spin?

For righthanded players I would say clockwise into bh of opponent (with pendulum serve) or anti-clockwise into the backhand (either with bh-serve or revers pendulum). Long fast serves left, right and in the middle also help. I sometimes use short topspin pendulum serves which, when misread, pop...
  13. Victas Triple Double Extra & Triple Extra Rubbers

Well, maybe... I have played the TDE on the Hurricane Long 5. Might try it on my Stiga Maplewood V to see if there are any differences.
  14. Victas Triple Double Extra & Triple Extra Rubbers

One thing I don't like about the TDE is the strange feeling/feedback it produces. There is this weird metallic vibrating sensation when you hit the ball which is hard to describe, but which I find unpleasant. If I remember correctly the Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo BS produces a somewhat...
  15. Looking for my next bh rubber

Nexy Etika 47.5 seems to fit nearly all your requirements apart from the price (47 Eur). But it's is supposed to be extremely durable. Maybe worth a try.
  16. Neottec x5-m, x5-s

I have played with X5-Medium and Etika 51. I would say that they are similar in that they both don't have such a pronounced catapult effect as typical ESN rubbers. But apart from that the feeling is very different. X5 top sheet feels more firm and rigid, a bit like Stiga Mantra or G1, Etika...
  17. BH rubber advice?

If you need a more controlled rubber than T05FX - which is already a very controlled rubber! - try Xiom Vega Europe. It has a very soft topsheet combined with a 43 degree medium soft sponge. So very soft feeling through and through. This will probably do the trick. All the Dignics rubbers will...
  18. Nexy Eucrasia review

Alright ....I also own a Eucrasia btw, mine is 88g. I must say that I don't like H3 with it, although this is my usual forehand rubber and I really love it. For some reason I prefer H3 on blades with more flex, like 5ply all wood blades or HL5. Eucrasia is quite thick and stiff so I prefer more...
