  1. Dhs H301 / Donic Waldner WC89 OFF/ YINHE V14 pro?

I agree with you. Most of the reviews on revspin can't be trusted, so you either try blades/rubbers yourself or just leave it. There are, however, some reviewers who are really good and can be trusted: tt-gearlab for example is one of these and also Patrick who writes most of the reviews on the...
  2. Dhs H301 / Donic Waldner WC89 OFF/ YINHE V14 pro?

    Buy both! 😂
  3. Dhs H301 / Donic Waldner WC89 OFF/ YINHE V14 pro?

The 301x has a thicker construction and is faster. Here is a good review: https://blog.tabletennis11.com/review-dhs-hurricane-301x Never heard of the H301t.
  4. Dhs H301 / Donic Waldner WC89 OFF/ YINHE V14 pro?

Of the blades you mentioned I have only played with H301. Its an innerforce blade with koto top ply. It has a very woody feeling, you hardly recognize that it’s a carbon blade. Now one of it’s main features is that it is very thin (5,5mm) and thus flexes a lot which makes it an excellent looping...
  5. Dhs w968/ hurricane long 5 splintering issues

Revolution Nr 3 normal viscosity. Never used another glue. Does the job very well.
  6. Dhs w968/ hurricane long 5 splintering issues

Puh, Carl... I thought he meant additional "lacquering" which would change the characteristics of the top ply radically (make it much, much harder). The water based Joola varnish/sealant doesn't change the properties of the top ply in a negative / perceptible way.
  7. Dhs w968/ hurricane long 5 splintering issues

No, I just use the Joola varnish. That's enough.
  8. Dhs w968/ hurricane long 5 splintering issues

I use water based Joola varnish on my Long 5. That‘s a very mild form of protecting the top layer of the blade. Never had any issues.
  9. Need help choosing a new blade.

Agree. T05 ist way to fast and bouncy for a developing bh. Try T05FX, Tibhar FX-S or FX-P or some 45 degree rubber (EL-S, EL-P, Vega Japan) in 1.8mm.
  10. the best feeling all wood blade

Darker 5P-2A (5ply Hinoki hybrid), Nexy Tamar V (5ply pure Hinoki). Both these blades are Off- all woods, with great feeling and little vibration. They are very stable since they are both quite thick (6.5mm) yet remain very spinny because of the Hinoki. The Tamara might be difficult to get...
  11. Do You Use Tacky or Non-Tacky?

I use Chinese tacky rubbers on forehand - H3 (Neo) prov and Skyline 3 BS - and Euro/Jap/Korean grippy rubbers on backhand (my favourites at the moment Tenergy 05FX, Rhyzm P, Vega Japan). There is nothing better than H3 (and the like) for short game, serving and aggressive looping. On my backhand...
  12. DHS online store in Europe?

This shop is absolutely legit and the guys who run it are very friendly and nice. I have ordered several times there. Highly recommended.
  13. Hurricane Long V series

Agree 100%. It's a tad faster than the Korbel off.
  14. Hurricane Long V series

For me the Long 5 is just a blade that suits my game best. No theory needed. I loop on both wings and I love Chinese tacky rubbers on forehand which work perfectly with this blade. I also like the handle a lot and the woody yet very stable feel of it. After four years playing with 5plys I had...
  15. Little advice about switching rubber

The difference between the commercial Skyline rubbers and the provincial Skyline bs rubbers is quite big. It is much more pronounced than the difference between the commercial H3 and provincial H3 rubbers. Blue sponge Skylines are livelier and also faster (not rocket fast, though), it's easier...
  16. DHS Skyline 3 Provincial 40' (blue sponge)

Over the last three months I have switched between H3 prov 39 (OS) and Skyline 3 prov 39 (BS) on forehand. I boost both, so can't tell how the Skyline plays unboosted. What I can say is that it is an excellent rubber. It has a slightly lower throw than the H3.
  17. Hurricane Long V series

The HL V seems to be a blade which Is surrounded by many myths. Apart from the ridiculous price this could be a reason why it’s less popular. One of these myths Is that it Is an extremely fast Off++ blade which only suits highly skilled top players. How can people actually think that of a fairly...
  18. Hurricane Long 5

5 out of 5 rating for Hurricane Long 5 I don't understand that so many players still think this is a super fast blade. That is really weird. Speedwise I would put it in the (lower) off range. It's first and foremost a blade that supports a close to the table/mid distance topspin game. It was...
  19. Hurricane Long 5

Review by 'MK73' on item 'Hurricane Long 5'

I don't understand that so many players still think this is a super fast blade. That is really weird. Speedwise I would put it in the (lower) off range. It's first and foremost a blade that supports a close to the table/mid distance topspin game. It was made for that. It has a woody, natural...
