  1. Leaving extra rubber on blade when cutting? (Ma Lin)

I think the 'flippers' is not what schen meant with his question. But making the rubber slightly larger than the blade is maybe just a practical thing (easier to cut that way) or because the rubber might shrink after being glued to the bat. In the picture of Ma Lin's bat, it is only a few...
  2. What would you choose, if you were only allowed ONE serve the rest of your life??

I'd serve aces down the line for the rest of my life :p
  3. New Ball for 2014 Confirmed (ITTF Study)

I looked over the full result review when it was still available, and if I remember correctly I think it stated that the test players thought the new ball would favor defenders. I forgot how they worked that out though :P But I can imagine that it will be harder to return chops that land on the...
  4. Joo Se Hyuk supporting TableTennisDaily

You should start a Hall of Fame with players holding the leaflet :P Gotta catch 'em all! ;)
  5. World Table Tennis Championships 2013

At WTTC 2011 Boll was amazing. But at the Olympics he might have been too focused and stressed. Since he knows he doesn't have man chances left, the pressure will grow on him. Though I think with a bit of luck in the draw he can come really far.
  6. Can Michael Maze still reach the top 15 ?

Schlagi will play? Has he played anything since 2012 Olympics? Has he even practised? :P
  7. Liu Guoliangs Big Idea! World Tour!

This is funny: China and Korea both didn't want the prize money. Then China wanted the prize money to go to Korean charities, and in the end Korea suggested the money should go to Chinese charities...
  8. Nice serve

Like a boss! I had this once when service practising haha, still don't know how it happened :p
  9. Wang Hao & Ma Lin sign for Russian clubs!

What about Maze? U know where he is going?
  10. Champions League 2012/2013

Yea kind of... But Borussia played enough finals :P Will be interesting to see how Chartres does, I think they have a serious chance. Dima and Vladi don't beat Gao Ning and Par Gerell easily :)
  11. Champions League 2012/2013

I think Chartres went through? They won 11-5 in games in the first leg, Borussia won 9-5 in games now, so aggregated that would be 16-14 for Chartres.. Maybe that is why the commentator was already sure about it after 1-1, since at that point it was 15-8 for Chartres and Borussia could at best...
  12. Table Tennis Cheapen Itself with Lousy Fashion

They have so many staff members, can't they spare 1 person to think about this? :P Would change alot indeed, since they are after all the leading names in table tennis.
  13. Liu Guoliangs Big Idea! World Tour!

Jun + Maze would be a big fail though, since they are both lefties. I have rarely seen a doubles combination of two lefties, and the moments it did happen, you could tell why it is rare ;)
  14. Imagination !

    Epic stuff haha!
  15. Mizutani signs for UMMC Verkhnyaya Pyshma

We're gonna need Russion league livestreams... Who would've thought that 5 years ago ;)
  16. Stiga Calibra Tour Rubber Review

A review is in fact always an advertisement, because it gives viewers more information about the product ;) And I wouldn't expect Stiga to launch rubbers that are worse than their existing rubber families. So since the Calibra ST was already pretty good, it is no suprise that the review about...
  17. New way to detect boost 2013

I wouldn't call bouncing a ball on a racket revolutionary, but if it helps, it could be good ^^ Still it would be hard to judge, since on a slow frame or tacky rubbers the ball will still bounce low when boosted compared to an offensive frame with Tenergy I guess.
  18. Jun Mizutani boycotting boosters/tuners!

This is interesting, from the Executive Committee of the ITTF: ITTF Executive Vice President Mr. Koji Kimura presented a revolutionary way to detect "boosters" in rackets without having to remove the racket coverings. "Boosters" are types of oils that some players use by coating the sponge in...
  19. Why table tennis isnt so popular? Any suggestions?

Maybe it would help if there were more doubles matches on big events, or at least that the doubles matches get more attention. They are often much more spectacular and straightforward than most singles matches. Or show more Japanese players... They always make long rallies haha.
  20. Your own table tennis habbits?

Me too haha, for some reason it felt good. Now I don't do it anymore, not sure why... Probably because I'm too lazy to go through my knees that far :)
