Yea he hasn't got the power of the top-5 Chinese. If you compare him to them, he might be not that good. But he is as good as any non-Chinese player at least, and in WTTC 2011 trials he did an amazing job as well, beating the top players in China. Also in the Super League, so in the end he does...

Ma Lin lost to Ma Long (Ma Long served some aces in that match ;)) Xu Xin lost quite early against Wang Liqin, who got beaten by Zhang Jike a round later. Xu-Wang was the first Chinese encounter I believe.
