Yea both sounds like a really good way to enjoy table tennis, for entertainment and to improve your own game. At my club everyone has a year membership and we get group practise sessions several times a week with 1 trainer. But there is by far not as many people where I live as where u live so...

I don't see the problem. If he needs time between points he can take it. I can understand he doesn't want to go running into Ma Long's knife when they play the points quickly after another.

Yup.. Most of the time I don't mind him, usually TV coverage of TT is worse. The current guy doesnt add much value maybe, but at least he doesn't drop it. Maybe they just want to cover more matches.

I had actually never seen that match before (it is from before my time xD). Glad u pointed that out, I just went to watch the highlights on YouTube. What a match... Certainly an inspiration for every tt player and especially defenders I think.

I think u should go with the brushing motion which (after enough practise) involves less risk. To gain power u could try to improve the speed u turn ur body with during the loop. If u get the timing right on pushing off ur foot, turning ur upper body, closing ur elbow and flicking ur wrist u...

Don't they have to give their bats to the umpires after the match now? Or is that only sometimes. That would mean if u throw ur bat into the audience after u win a match u get disqualified and lose the match :P Ur opponent might be so happy that he throws his bat in the audience :D

Matsudaira is very quick close to the table but I think his shots lack power. Now that others know his awesome serves better he doesn't win as much. I remember he beat Oh Sang Eun at the WTTC 2009.

@Carl I heard of this club in NY haha, seems like a pretty cool place to play tt. U are right about the precision part. Also I think if u throw in too much power and energy it will make lose ur accuracy and tactics. This is also the case in other sports for accuracy but not for tactis mostly...

Everyone is so right. TTD is always on a tab when I am on my laptop, so I just have to refresh, which I do like 5 times per hour if not more haha.
