"Asian players mature earlier" Kim Kyung Ah, Han Ying, Shen Yanfei: "Hold my baby"
  2. I started a table tennis newsletter

Are you looking for an extra pair of hands on board? I could probably help out with simple graphics, html and writing.
  3. CNT's Mock Olympics

@takkyu_wa_inochi Maaaybe Ishikawa might have a better chance against Sun Yingsha but I don't think Sato gets destroyed everytime she plays CNT. In fact she was the most competitive one from JNT against CNT during WTTC 2019 (losing 4-2 to Wang Manyu, nearly drawing level at 3-3).
  4. CNT's Mock Olympics

Potential WTTC 2021 matchup (if it ever happens) Mima Ito X Chen Meng Hina Hayata X Liu Shiwen Sato Hitomi X Sun Yingsha Mima Ito X Liu Shiwen Hina Hayata X Chen Meng
  5. CNT's Mock Olympics

@Ma Lin2.0 Liu Shiwen, Chen Meng, SYS is already a proven combination. Why not?
  6. CNT's Mock Olympics

Yea I don't doubt it. I think it's more of a toss-up. Against any other world team Japan is almost guaranteed to win. But their odds against the semifinalists in CNT Olympics are less IMO.
  7. CNT's Mock Olympics

If the world's top 8 teams were added to this mock olympics, I wonder how far they would have made it. On the women's side, Japan might not even be guaranteed to make the top 4.
  8. CNT's Mock Olympics

Women's Team 2 is obviously the pseudo-Japanese team
  9. CNT's Mock Olympics

I'm surprised that there have been virtually no upsets so far. Guess they truly are the best of the best. Still, Wang Yidi for the win. Backhand like a beast.
  10. Which match would you love to see?

    Mima ito vs. Zhang yining
  11. Have you started to play again?

Recorded myself playing, this is my 5th session since coming out of quarantine. Just some forehand and backhand strokes, then rallying with a chopper. 0:00 forehand hit 0:43 forehand drive 1:22 backhand hit 2:05 forehand loop against backspin 3:31 push against backspin 6:27 smash 6:47 fake...
  12. I am 15 years old, what is the chance of becoming a professional?

lol @ all the old men trying to crush the dreams of a young boy. I'm sure all of you had realistic career goals at 15. Give me a break. @davizoosk: Now is the best time for you to invest all your time and energy into table tennis. Will you become a pro? Highly unlikely. But that doesn't mean...
  13. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

The order may have been muddied for awhile, but given recent developments it's clear that JNT's current hierarchy is as follows: 1. Ito 2. Ishikawa 3. Hirano 4. Hayata 5. Sato 6. Kato In 2019, Kato was still able to squeeze herself into JNT's top 5. Right now she's clearly on the outside of...
  14. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

My only guess is that Korea played Suh in the semifinals in order to confuse France's lineup. If France wanted Yuan to avoid a chopper then their lineup would have made sense. Still think she could have defeated both Lee and Shin though. Tapatalk を使用して私の SM-N960F から送信
  15. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Yuan Jia Nan of France is the biggest discovery for me this tournament. So aggressive with her pips out forehand. France might have had a chance against Korea if she played 2 singles. Tapatalk を使用して私の SM-N960F から送信
  16. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Pesotska is good. She held 2 matchpoints against Ito in WTTC 2018 if that says anything about her ability. Pity Ukraine might probably lose before she has another chance to show her strengths
  17. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

lmao South Korea heard you guys and decided to bench Suh for Lee Eunhye
  18. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

India giving Romania a run for their money. But funky pips with no real attack can only get you so far.
  19. All Japan Championship 2020 Jan 13-19

At this point the Ishikawa bashing is a little perplexing. To me her and Hirano are on the same level in terms of chinese threat, i.e. almost 0. The only difference being that Ishikawa is more stable against the rest of the world and has 2 Olympic experiences under her belt. IMO a...
  20. Road to Tokyo 2020: Chinese TT Team

It’s not like Liu Shiwen was completed wrecked by Ito the two times that she lost. She simply used the wrong tactics and played to Ito’s strengths. I doubt any self-respecting world champion would back down from the opportunity to prove that they are indeed the world’s best.
