  1. Butterfly 05fx alternatives

I know what Lazer is talking about. There is no replacement for Tenergy 05fx. I agree with Lazer. Yasaka Rakza 7 soft is softer and less catapult. I actually like that better than Tenergy 05fx. I don't really care much more Tenergy 05fx when I keep on push the balls off the table. Rakza 7 soft...
  2. Fastarc G-1 vs V>15 extra on backhand

I would say G-1 has a hard top sheet with medium-hard sponge. If you want something softer and easier to loop, go with C-1. There is a reason why G-1 and C-1 are top sellers on TT11. I have not used and I have not heard of anyone using P-1 or S-1. Supposedly the gradation is G-1 is harder than...
  3. What’s your most satisfying moment in table tennis?

I grew up in Vancouver, BC, Canada. When I was in 11th grade, I was the back-up player for our high school team (or secondary school in Canada) where we won the provincial team championship in table tennis. The top 3 players played. I just tagged along. I did not play a single set or match but...
  4. Butterfly 05fx alternatives

Agree Rakza 7 soft especially if the OP likes the soft feeling. Another good one, not as catapulty, but also soft is C-1. That's pretty much it. Between those two, you will find something. I have not played with any Gewo rubber before. I have one sheet of Rasanter R47 and that one is pretty hard.
  5. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Maybe it is the top sheet? I boosted my pink Loki R3 and my blue Loki R3. They curled up pretty easily. But when I apply to the other, there is little to no catapult effect. With my old sheet of H3 neo, it has been boosted a couple times and transferred between the blades a couple times. So I am...
  6. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Lol, I have a red Globe 999 lying around. I played Globe 999 growing up when I was a penholder as the only rubber (I was Jpen for a while). I need to put that on a carbon blade then. I bought one from BEO store 3 months ago for old time's sake. In my head, I equate it to friendship 729 which I...

I use H3 39 degree. Yes I find the Rxton 3 blue and pink to be harder than H3. It might have something to do with the top sheet. Both Rxton blue and pink, I boosted the heck out of it but still little to no catapult effect. So I gave up. Maybe their top sheets are just hard, making the rubber as...
  8. Best online tabletennis-shops for dhs rubber

I understand and I agree that less tackiness means more speed. Same as the popularity of "tacky" ESN rubbers such as Dragon Grip, K3 and Rakza Z which is introducing ESN rubber that is now more tacky. But if I want to get less tackiness on DHS or 729 rubbers, I can just rub new plastic balls...
  9. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Yes I only have one sheet of Rxton 1 plus, black. It has black "carbon" sponge (whatever that carbon means; I think it is just marketing). I bought mine from BEO store. I have looked and I have seen those Rxton 1 plus with pink/red sponge. The price point is exactly the same. I am confused by...
  10. Best online tabletennis-shops for dhs rubber

Yes I am very very disappointed. I can understand that DHS, out of the package, might be too tacky tacky but I only need 2-3 sessions to break that surface in. And then the tackiness would not die for 1-2 years. What is wrong with that? That tackiness on even old H3 rubber has allowed me to...
  11. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I am losing track of the discussion so far. The thread is getting long!!!! I have only used H3 commercial orange. Longevity has NOT been an issue. I am tempted to try blue provinicial H3 but not $60 tempted. I am pretty happy with my $18 H3 commercial. Recently, I have transferred Rxton 3 pink...
  12. Donic M3 vs Yasaka 7 Soft

I would like to know the answer as well. I am using Yasaka Soft 7 2.0mm on the backhand. The other backhand rubber I like is Nittaku C-1 2.0mm. I have both on two separate carbon blades that are of the same make and model (Gambler Blackout carbon). They play quite similarly well. Yasaka soft 7...
  13. Advice to improve my game.

Welcome to the forum! A few comments. For someone who just started playing a year ago, you are very good! Your opponents did not hold back. They might be higher rated than you are but they were trying their best. In general, when they (and I) play someone weaker, we tend to play it safe; let...
  14. Best online tabletennis-shops for dhs rubber

Here is my feedback. If you like H3 regular, it is on sales at Dandoy for $18 and change (I am in North America so everything is in US dollars). If you go on TT11, H3 regular, H3 neo, TG3 and TG2 are about $26-28 a sheet but if you buy in bulk (more than $350), then you get 30% discount and it...
  15. Tibhar equipment

Every blade is unique. I don't know what blades you have played with. The best I can say is, Fortino Performance is faster than Stratus Power Wood without loss of any control. I think EL-P v.s. FX-S will play about the same. Just don't get MX-P, MX-S or MX-D. Those three rubbers will be too...
  16. Tibhar equipment

Yes!!!! I have a Tibhar Fortino Performance blade. It is not my main blade right now but I like it. I used Tibhar Stratus Power Wood, 5-ply all wood for about 4 years. Then I upgraded to Tibhar Fortino Performance carbon blade. Fortino Performance is definitely inner carbon so you get the wood...
  17. Thick vs Thin and Hard vs Soft - not sure which to get

Now we know your budget. Get a preassembled paddle from Gamblertt.com I like their blades. I don't like their rubbers because their rubbers have no catapult effects whatsoever. But if you get an preassembled paddle from them, in a year or so, you an rip the rubbers off and keep the blade, and...
  18. New Stiga Mantra Pro

Thank you for your feedback. Thanks to @TensorBackhand for his feedback too. I am going to pass on Z2. I will stick with C-1 for now on my backhand (my forehand has always been H3 and i don't see that changing soon. I have a 729 Battleship II blue spone that just arrived 2 days ago from...
  19. Thick vs Thin and Hard vs Soft - not sure which to get

I have a couple all around blades (ALL) but I don't like it. I am of the opinion that a mild OFF- blade is the best option (such as Tibhar Stratus Power Wood). You can grow with such blades, starting with slower rubber on both side, thinner and then progress to even say Tenergy later on, a few...
  20. Thick vs Thin and Hard vs Soft - not sure which to get

Are you also debating what blade to get? The blade is absolutely important. The discussion of rubbers should not be independent of the discussion of the blade. For blade I would recommend OFF- 5-ply all wood blade like Tibhar Stratus Power Wood. It has slight vibration but not too much (I hate...
