  1. The different ways of boosting

Today I played with a hardbat player who does not throw the ball up at all. One other player would just call let and ask him to serve over and over again. Well, I don't really care. The fact that he does not throw the ball up really messed up my timing but like you said, I find it challenging...
  2. The different ways of boosting

I don't think it is that frequent. The old ESN rubber where I apply one layer of booster has not bubbled up either.
  3. The different ways of boosting

I boosted 20+ sheets of H3 neo and never got a bubble. However, I boosted one sheet of red Sanwei Target National and it got bubble near the logo part of the sponge. I am like, really? I could not believe my eye so it is real (the bubble).
  4. Groups or knocks outs in Qualification rounds?

Prefer groups. prefer the same players from the same association not put in the same part of the bracket.
  5. What do you think the no.1 Korean amateur player's rating would be?

I think in USATT rating, when I learned about it, means that for every 500 points, the lower rated player has no chance of beating with the higher rated player. if that happens, the higher rated player loses 50 points while the lower rated player gains 50 points. Now if the lower rated player...
  6. The different ways of boosting

Interesting video. Red side is regular inverted rubber. Black side is either anti or long pips (My vote is anti). He has incredible touch. Hard to say what level he is because they only show the points he won. Some people are just talented in ping pong.
  7. Camera angles at WTT

Great video!!! But but but, you cannot see sponsors' logos on the floor at all.....
  8. Camera angles at WTT

Something to do with better advertising angle? Meaning coming from the side, they can place the sponsor's logos right on the floor, in front of the camera without obscuring the logos.
  9. Hurricane Neo 3 - Fake or Real?

I have always liked TT11. I have not noticed H3 neo, the newer one, to be less sticky. I have some old H3 Skyline neo. Maybe I will buy a couple of those sheets and see if they are more sticky. However, currently skyline is out of stock at TT11.

I don't consider serving practice is ever too much or too long. You will rip the benefits later. The benefits may not be immediate. The only ball you can control in the while match of table tennis is your serve. You have 100% control over that ball. After that, no more control over the ball.
  11. Paddle/Rubber Recommendation Please

I am confused what you are asking for. You are forehand looper. You already know you want Hurricane neo 3 on the FH. You want a fast racket but yet the ball needs to stay on the paddle really long and sinks into the paddle? There is no such a thing. Maybe you are asking for a racket with...
  12. The different ways of boosting

Lol, you are funny about sniffing the speed glue. I never speed glued my rubber. I do have a couple Mark V 1.5mm sponge lying around. Lol, maybe I will speed glue them and see how they play! Yes, boosting only came after the speed glue ban. Yes, I agree if the health hazard is not being...
  13. The different ways of boosting

A few comments: 1) Booster is technically illegal. But all Chinese players do it. I think Ma Lin was caught showing his boosting process on the chinese social media many years ago. 2) My argument is, if boosting is illegal, then why should ESN companies be allowed to alter the rubber in any...
  14. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I think the most important part of practicing serve is spin. I remember practicing serve growing up. I missed a lot of balls outright. But that was because I was figuring how to brush the balls lightly. In the beginning if you are trying to practice service, and you "hit" the ball every time...
  15. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

I am used to H3 neo so Mark V is probably not that slow for me. If people play tournaments with H3, they can play tournament with Mark V.
  16. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Lol, ok, I will stop funding the search for EJ virus vaccine. lol!!!! Yes we need to infect more people so they will cough out important info so we can save a few bucks here and there. As for the catapult effects, yes, I am pretty sure about Tenergy > Revolution > G1/C1/R7/RX. It is weird. I...
  17. Table tennis shoes, where to buy?

Yes on my amazon website it is advertised as volleyball shoes but it works. I think every indoor shoe that allows you to move side ways without straining your ankles is what you need in table tennis. for example, basketball shoes are terrible because they fix your ankles (makes sense so when...
  18. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Agree totally. I think after EJ'ing for a while, you kind of know what works for you and you might EJ in that general area, and then just settle down. I will try Big Dipper and Sanwei Target National at the club a couple more times but preliminary data suggests I am going back to H3 neo...
  19. Table tennis shoes, where to buy?

My experience buying it online is excellent. I get it via Amazon so I can always return it. Asics for me at least lasted a long time. I had to throw one away because it was rained on and it did not air out properly so the stinky smell meant I had to to throw it away. And since the price of the...
