  2. Some of my today training footage

Lol, I forgot you are from Northern California. Many good clubs over there such as ICC. Yeah, then maybe the guy is 1000 over there in Northern California?

Sometimes when you practice with someone lower level than you are, you can serve easy on them so you can get some practice in. No point to keep them hitting the balls out or into the net. You cannot get better. Also agree with side spin. If side spin is given short, many players might have...
  4. Any Power Pong robot users?

Not sure if the ghost serve is realistic in game situation though. I am pretty happy with three-wheel robot. The no-spin is a great feature. With the plastic ball, the spin really is a lot less than before. So having no-spin and little spin (top or back) makes the robot a lot more realistic.
  5. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

That's why I put Hurricane on the forehand side and ESN rubber on the backhand side. Every single blade right now is in that combo.
  6. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

check out Xiom Ice Cream AZX on TT11. I think some people say the carbons are a bit slower than Butterfly carbons but it is at least a shot at that. Gambler also offers a blade with carbon on one side and pure wood on the other side. I have one blade. I have not tried it out yet. It is just...
  7. Sealing the blade

I know the question is not directed toward me. I have used Revolution 3, Donic Glue Vario Clean and Neottec Glue. They all work pretty well. I have more of an issue that the edge of the rubber was not glued properly so I have to apply two layes on the rubber every time now. I have peeled the...
  8. Any Power Pong robot users?

Ouch!!!! There is no inventory in california because everyone is protecting their low low mortgage and they cannot afford to upgrade their homes. that's one tough spot!
  9. how comfortable are you with hard (53+) rubber on your backhand?

Nothing wrong with tacky rubber. My forehand loop and serve feel really weird without tacky rubber. The feeling is just wayyyy off.
  10. The different ways of boosting

Lol, no glue in the middle for max momentum absorption? That's crazy and genius at the same time! :) :)
  11. Any Power Pong robot users?

Power pong is NOT that expensive considering how expensive coaching and playing are. Time is money and money is time. So if you get power pong and that saves you some time and improve your skills, it is totally worth it!!! :) :)
  12. Sealing the blade

If the blade splinters easily, yes you should seal it. I have never sealed my blade. My blades are not expensive blades. And splintering has not been a problem. I am convinced that my Nittaku Acoustic carbon was sealed even before I purchased it. The rubber comes off that blade differently...
  13. The different ways of boosting

boosting = more enjoyment. I don't see why not. illegal long pips = more enjoyment for some people. I don't see why not. I have no problem playing with anyone whose pips are not legal. If they like playing with it, then so be it. We are here to enjoy the sport. Nothing more, nothing less.
  14. how comfortable are you with hard (53+) rubber on your backhand?

Agree. I have gotten H3, H3 neo and H3 Skyline neo all from TT11. I think they only carry 39 degree? I have liked all of them on my forehand side. I think they are too heavy for my backhand side. And Hurricane ages really well. It seems like the more you play with it, the sponge becomes softer...
  15. how comfortable are you with hard (53+) rubber on your backhand?

When I used to use 5-ply all wood paddle (Tibhar Stratus Power Wood), I really needed G-1 on the backside because I need to generate more power. And I loved G-1; It is very direct. Some catapult but not too much. Wherever I want the ball to go, G-1 will get it done. And G-1 is very very durable...
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Play more matches. Or in your practice, incorporate more serve and return practices. I think people practice too many forehand-forehand exchanges and too many backhand-backhand exchanges. There is nothing wrong with practicing serve and return with your partner and NOT count the score. Just...
  17. Hurricane Neo 3 - Fake or Real?

Lol, I heard of that too. The pro's version is not the National or provincial sold by DHS to ANY retailers. I guess I will stick with my commercial grade and be happy with it.
  18. Is my h3n National real or why is it shiny?

I still have not paid up for National H3 neo. I have always bought H3 neo commercial. After looking at TT11's review on hurricane (various versions of it), I think I might pay up for blue sponge H3 provincial. Then maybe maybe one of the days I will pay up for blue sponge H3 national.
  19. Some of my today training footage

I don't know I would go that low. He can block a couple top spins in a row. I would say anywhere between 1100 to 1300 in USATT ratings?
  20. Some of my today training footage

I like the video's. A few comments. I like how you accelerate when you try to loop backspin. That's exactly what you should do. I like how you try to attack the opponent's serves. Hey if the serve is long, it needs to be attacked. You can toss the ball a bit higher on your serves. that's...
