  1. I'm looking for an alternative rubber that lasts longer than the Tibhar Hybrid K3.

The old Joola Tango PS used to be tacky for a long time. My experience is that sponges of ESN rubbers dies before the top sheets wears out.
  2. Liang Jingkun signs with LOKI

Informative. Balance point should always be given!
  3. Want to know why Yinhe Pro 05 is so head heavy?

Thanks for this great answer! I'm sure you are right about everything. I (and I guess others) have also been thinking about the modern, heavy rubbers and why manufacturers do not make blades to compensate for this. Smaller heads and/or heavier, longer handles should have a customer base.
  4. Blade maintenance?

    Seal the blade?
  5. Want to know why Yinhe Pro 05 is so head heavy?

But the wrb-, sensoblades and such were a way to move the center of mass right? And there is sort of a trend right now to have bigger head blades and that is also about getting them more head heavy, right? So it cant be all about total mass of the blade.
  6. Want to know why Yinhe Pro 05 is so head heavy?

Are they doung this just to reduce weight or is there someting else as well? Seems like a lot of work.
  7. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

I believe they say that this ALX is slightly stiffer than this TMXi.
  8. Want to know why Yinhe Pro 05 is so head heavy?

    Why, oh why?
  9. Damien Éloi: Are the top players’ rubbers different?

Pretty sure basketball balls are the ones you can buy in a store even in pro games. Or footballs. These analogies doesn't give anything. Tiger might be picky but John Daly was drunk all the time...
  10. Damien Éloi: Are the top players’ rubbers different?

I think they do. Very much. But its just speculation of course. Mainly based on what people (myself included!)buy now. Way to fast and expensive equipment just becauce it is what the best players in the world use. I mean, people pay more for Fan Zs blade than a Viscaria (which from the start is...
  11. Why every new xiom blade have larger headsize?

Like Cybershapes, popular DHS-blades and a couple of relatively new Butterflies. It's a trend. We bitter old men with large hands and sore elbows have nowhere to go... The ALX Lite seems fine though. As long as its not light because of abnormally hollow handle.
  12. Damien Éloi: Are the top players’ rubbers different?

Still makes no sense budiness wise. People will pay for what the pros have. And also - quite a few of players are on a level that is almost pro.
  13. Damien Éloi: Are the top players’ rubbers different?

But why would they not sell it to the public? Makes no sense.
  14. Xiom Hugo SAL and 36.5 Deep Impact ALX

Old and long thread. Sorry for digging it up but… how is the balance of the ALX? Is it on the head heavy side or more to the handle? From what I’ve read the FL handle is pretty much like the Viscarias size wise. Perhaps not that head heavy then?
  15. Why are rubbers getting harder with ABS balls?

I find harder rubbers easier in the service, receive and the short game over all. But, since I’m a mere amateur, harder to make loopkills on underspin and such. The latter is the fun part of table tennis but winning is nice too….
  16. What to replace vega europe with?

I have a raquet with C1 one side and Glayzer the other. Similar thickness. Glayzer is much harder. Also clearly harder than Vega Europe as I recall. Glayzer is a product of current times; hard feel, extreme grip. Much more Dignics than Tenergy. And Vega Europe is more of a Tenergy-type rubber...
  17. Weight limits on rackets?

To me, this is exactly the wrong path. I'd rather have competitions without long pips.
  18. Weight limits on rackets?

    Why benefit defenders?
  19. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

Also interested in this. Is it just a rebranded 36.5?
  20. Fanzhendong ALC vs VISCARIA

Are there any differences in balance between the two?
