  1. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Looks like with Uda crapping the bed against Duda as well, the surpassing battles will end in a tie until the China Grand Smash or another mutual event for the pair. Shinozuka is free to rejoin as well.

Come on, he didn't disappoint @zeio and Tieba users!
  3. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Jorgic stopped serving backhand as much in games 3 and 4 for no clear reason. Went back to it exclusively in game 5 and won easily. Uda now has a path in the surpassing battles - beat Duda!
  4. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Darko seems to have forgotten that TTR exists on this court. Many of Togami's serves should be faulted, though Darko is not a saint either.
  5. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Togami cannot return Jorgic's serve. The surpassing battles have been conceded over a lousy short forehand return. That said, this usually goes 5 in the German league.
  6. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

That has been obvious for a while but this event really solidifies it
  7. Butterfly Zyre 03

They could be ramping up production in anticipation of extreme popularity. It isn't great to release a new rubber and then deal with scarcity as a result of unfulfilled demand.
  8. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Thats the thing - why do you say he "squandered" 5 game points? Why dont you think Hugo squandered 5 points to give Wen the lead? Its interesting how people make the psychology of big leads being lost about bad play when they dont identify what exactly the player who lost the lead did to play...
  9. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Why is it Ruibo choking and not Hugo playing to his level? What easy opportunities did Ruibo miss?
  10. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Hugo did this in the final in Argentina as well (10-3 down to win). So whether it was about Hugo or Ruibo is open to debate.

Ragdolling is a controversial meme but that was the TT equivalent.

  13. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

They created the Harimoto-Shinozuka partnership. I think that is more relevant.
  14. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

So in other words, while neither has won anything major, Uda has done arguably better than Togami by getting deeper in tour events and winning a couple? Togami is now a WTTC singles quarterfinalist. That matches the best result by a male Japanese player in the event over the last 15-20 years...
  15. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

It's funny how one guy is judged by results and the other guy is judged by playing like Korea or something like that. Togami's style is also extremely high risk, lets not pretend that because he has a better backhand it is not. Let's try to bring a modicum of fairness and objectivity to the...
  16. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

No. Togami has not fulfilled his promise and Uda has... oh, wait a minute...
  17. Nexy Fitting Racket Order

@Nexy designer , I have a question about handles. I find that for many "standard handles", blade makers just put them on the blade and let the thickness of the blade determine how fat the handle ultimately becomes. Can there be some considerations to reducing the thickness of the handles...
  18. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

The best part of all this is that the surpassing battles have as the next quest opponents you can't make up if all goes to plan. As long as Pucar doesnt mess up the party we should get Togami - Jorgic and Uda - Duda. Pretty much what the textbooks would have recommended as classic tests of...
  19. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

The 3-0 Hayata Shin should spur some reflection from Shin but sometimes you can't tell what the result means until a few matches or months later. Shin missed a few basic balls and not entirely sure what drove that, Hayata's quality or something random.
  20. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

@zeio , do you have a report showing Shinozuka is injured? He lost to Thakkar and seems not to be keeping up...
