  1. How do I improve my backhand? (closed)

It's a bit of a waste of time to ask for advice on your technique on the internet without posting video, or more alternatively, spending money on an online service like TTD and then asking the online coaches there for advice. No one can see what you are doing and can tailor their advice to you...

Lin Shidong sounds like he is much older than he actually is lol.
  3. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

You started this ridiculous idea that I was confusing objectivity with having a measure and now you are not explaining how you get objectivity without a measure saying that it has to be the right measure. Do better.

Thanks. Hopefully someone learned something from that.
  5. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

Is it me or are the fans against Lin Shidong and Kuai Man for some reason?
  6. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

You can't prove something is objective without having a measure everyone can agree on. So having a measure is a prereq to objectivity. You have made your point i have made mine. MLTT and Tennis have clocks for a reason. ItTF can continue to leave this to people would may have axes to grind...

I suspect someone made the following pitch to Liang - Ma Long and Fan Zhendong are retired now. Why not you?
  8. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

Liang has been serving so well... getting a lot of pushes of half long serves...

Do you mean at only junior level? I know what you mean but this isn't quite true At senior level Other countries have moved to systems where national team coaches interact with and train the players altogether at least periodically for majot events. In fact, Nathaniel Molin became head coach...

Seems this worked all over again with some crowd help and minor adjustments.
  11. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

Without a serve clock, this is all not objective. The rules say to play at the pace of the server. 15 seconds is not stalling.
  12. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

It is believed (i heard it during a commentary) to have been started by China in order to avoid favoritism and was embraced by other national teams. Works logically when you have a single head coach with ties to one or more players stronger than others. But it was never something formally...
  13. Sports Betting sites

His point is not that you can't win consistently, his point os that if you do and you coat the house a lot of money. They will simply ban you from betting there again or find some way to limit you. They encourage people who lose money to bet and find ways to ban the people who cost them money...

  15. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

Each country has its own policy and it is not the same for all countries or even in a country, not necessarily the sameat all competition levels.

Those 2 are also juniors and I believe did well in Superleague. Kuai Man is on the rise for sure, but sometimes, the question is whether people know how you play well enough to deploy countermeasures. The one thing Sun Yingsha has in her favor is that she was Kuai Man's teammate in CSL.
  17. HOT DAMN !!! This coach teaches FH Slow/Heavy loop exactly every key point Der_Echte values !!!

That was from a different era with the 38mm ball, and with that ball and the quality of equipment back then, heavy spin was borderline unreturnable...
  18. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

KM won 3-2 in Doha but lost 0-4 in Muscat. As long as everyone knows the rules or when the choices were made. XS is now ranked 18, while He Zhuojia is now ranked 30, so it is more likely this was decided well before Muscat if we are pointing at performance.
  19. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

Because Xunyao Shi is obviously a strong player who for some reason (maybe key losses, maybe because she isn't a lefty) isn't getting opportunities.
  20. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

I am not sure this will work anymore, so I think Kuai Man has a bigger chance than I realized. But Sun Yingsha is her CSL teammate so that must count for something as well. But Kuai Man lost to Chen Xingtong in Super League as well so this is definitely new territory.
