LJY delivers a loud message to China with this win over WCQ.
  2. China Open 2019

None of the livestreams are working... thanks ITTF...
  3. China Open 2019

At this point, honestly, I am only impressed if she wins. And probably by 4-2 or better.
  4. China Open 2019

Hayata and Gu taking a mutual examination - winner passes, loser fails.
  5. China Open 2019

And that's all folks! One less event for Fan and Ding to worry about.
  6. China Open 2019

Fan and Ding in major trouble. Down 0-2 and down in game 3 as well.
  7. Choosing right blade for my game

Get good coaching. This has absolutely nothing to do with equipment. Try to make your contact more silent as a start on the forehand side.
  8. China Open 2019

    Sucks. Really stupid.
  9. China Open 2019

ITTF continues to be clueless about these things.
  10. China Open 2019

It was a mistake in the legend for the Fan Zhendong picture that has since been corrected.
  11. China Open 2019

Fan is not the #11 seed.
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

He does the camps mostly for the TTEDGE members. He is going to be a national junior team coach so not sure what it will mean for his long term availability.
  13. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

So I have been in Florida for this week mostly at a TTEDGE camp with Brett Clarke and co. For the first time I have come to appreciate the importance of multiball and I will start doing more of it. If you focus on technique rather than putting the shot on the table, it is a good way of...
  14. fastarc g1 + stratus power wood???

MX-P will be slightly faster and heavier. Maybe you would need a thinner sheet depending on your level.
  15. fastarc g1 + stratus power wood???

May be head heavy but should be fine. Any good blade goes with a good rubber. Depends on what you want.
  16. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

There is no guarantee that anyone will beat China. The point is that every player needs to take responsibility. Ito couldn't beat China's number 5. If they can't beat Ishikawa in a fair fight, let us just stop pretending they will beat China in a fair fight.
  17. Timing in TT

When it comes to pushing, backspin tends to float so the timing that ERT gives is mostly correct but not a law. When it comes to looping, you just practice until you find your preferred timing and contact points. Any such rules will vary depending on the level of spin especially if you are...
  18. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

This is not true. Ishikawa gets two singles but Ito and Hayata get one each as well as the doubles. If they can't win they can't win. Nothing to do with Ishikawa.
  19. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

No. It is rare for first national team prospects to defect and Hayata is a first national team prospect. Yamamoto was too far down the list. Maybe if she was 30.
  20. ITTF 2019 Croatia Open May 14-18

That is not a footwork issue IMO but it is okay. We all think differently about these things. If FZD backhand loops to Ma Long's wide forehand while Ma Long is pivoting, I don't think it is a footwork issue.
