  3. 729 super fx (black sheet with orange sponge)

Hi all, i just played with a red 729 FX (2,1mm) with orange sponge and a black 729 FX (2,1mm) with blue sponge yesterday evening ! (from a mate in our club) i found the orange sponge a bit more dynamic , so better for me , the black with blue sponge was slower, the blue sponge is indeed a bit...
  4. searchings new blade

i really like my Stiga Tube Allround, very good control (a little bit of vibrations to the handle, quite some flex, but without getting a too sloppy feeling, i really really find this blade very good). ideal for a controlled allround attacker , blocker, looper (works well with hard and softer...
  5. USA Table Tennis at it's finest

Just to compare also : the Belgian (divided into Flemish part and Walloon part and Brussels part ; yes Belgium is a very complicated small country) table tennis associations have about 25000 members (i would say 95% of them actively playing in competition, some are just on the list for practical...
  6. USA Table Tennis at it's finest

These players are indeed allowed to play in multiples leagues at the same time now, Monteiro and Toriola are active this year (Toriola played for Immo Mortsel already 2 or 3 years ago), beating Saive already then. :o
  7. USA Table Tennis at it's finest

Just for your info : the Belgian "struggling" youngsters just won the doubles final in the ittf 2012 Italian junior and cadet open (beating the Japanese duo in the semi final, ok it was close and winning the final in 3 sets) you can watch the match on ittv.com , junior events. And i still doubt...
  8. Reasons why you love Tabletennis so much...

Hi all, i started playing in a small club at 15 years old (i am now in my midlife crisis) and it started when i was 8 years old but that was just some ping pong on our table at home (with my friends , father, brother mostly). One day i was going to play mini-soccer but when i arrived in the...
  9. Rubber for Spinny Serves

I agree here with Anders and with Richard and Carl I just want to warn you for the Stiga Calibra LT Sound (the softest version), i have tested it in red 2mm and it can spin the ball very well but only if you can get the ball to really dig INto the sponge. For service spin this is rather...
  10. USA Table Tennis at it's finest

Please dont compare the USA juniors to the Belgian juniors, for example Jean Lauric just played the semi-final in the under 21j Quatar open, the day Michael Landers or any other USA junior plays a semi final in an event of that level , mail me ok !
  11. USA Table Tennis at it's finest

The video was just an illustration. In my previous posts i didn't compare Landers to the CNT but to some young players from Belgium, i wanted to show that even these much higher ranked players are nothing on the international scene (international means all players, not only China, like Korea...
  12. USA Table Tennis at it's finest

Well the rankings are the facts , nothing to do with patriotism (USA citizens are generally way more patriotic than Belgians BTW). As for the US Open tournament : there are probably enough higher rated tournaments in Europe for our young players, would you fly to the states to play players with...
  13. USA Table Tennis at it's finest

Well, Belgian youngsters like Jean Lauric (ittf world rank 251), Benjamin Rogiers (ittf world rank 311), Cedrick Nuytinck (ittf world rank 317) do have rankings that are just a little higher (ahem) than Michael Landers (ittf world rank 739), and they play (or played) in the Belgian...
  14. USA Table Tennis at it's finest

This would be about 2nd division in Belgium, internationally these players will most likely represent nothing in the future. Our sport is a marginal sport in the USA lets just face it.

  17. Friendship 729

hello Bishop Rasta, You can restore the grip of your rubbers by spraying some WD40 on the surface of the rubber and gently spread the liquid over the surface with you finger, the oily WD40 will attack the rubber slightly and restore the grip. I have played my Andro Revo Fire for 2,5 years...
  18. What is the best alternative for Tenergy 05?

I tried a red 2,2mm Yinhe Sun (the soft 33° version), it is really slow and not spinny enough. I didn't like it at all ! It is definitely not an alternative for Tenergy , i would NOT recommend these rubbers from Yinhe as a Tenergy alternative. Waste of money IMO.
