Seems to me that rubbers with a high percentage of natural rubber (latex) in their topsheet have the best durability and they also react best when boosting with lamp oil (boosting only on the topsheet to restore the grip).

Unless you are already a good player, i think this setup is way too fast to learn table tennis well. Keep your blade and only buy modern rubbers (Bluestorm, MX-P ...). It will most probably be more than fast enough.

A friend of mine in our club bought one like that (the Arylate Carbon like in your pictures). I would rate it as OFF to OFF+ , so very fast (too fast for me, speed like a Timo Boll ALC), also quite stiff (too stiff for me) , and yes the handle is a bit too thin (but i like quite thick handles)...
