That would be too easy would it not? We want something more recent - thanks :D.
  2. difference between Carbon

That's possible but I wouldn't be surprised if the Vp index or the Vp/Vi both satisfactorily addressed that as it simply is not true that 5 ply all wood blades absolutely have more feel and vibration than Viscaria style ALC blades. The Mazunov is a notoriously stiff 5 ply as an example even...
  3. difference between Carbon

I don't know whether it is a major limit unless it influences something that is highly correlated with how TT players feel about their equipment and that this thing it is highly correlated it influences selection. What you are looking at may well be contained in other indices that ttgearlab...
  4. Uh oh, backhand rubber advice time

It's a harder sponge so you have to work a little harder to make it work with fuller and writer swings. It is also not quite as linear as Karis M. It's also heavier so that dampens some people's enthusiasm. But since I play with more spin than power it helps the way I play.
  5. Uh oh, backhand rubber advice time

The first generation of ESN rubbers to compete with Tenergy were similar in many ways. They include Rakza 7 and Vega Pro, but more people think directly of the yellow sponges Germany distributed variants like Andro Hexer, Tibhar Genius, Donic Baracuda and Joola Xplode.
  6. difference between Carbon

Okay. I have times when I agree with what you are saying and there are other times when I just say it is not as critical as you think it is. Not everyone gets the same feedback out of their equipment or coaching.
  7. difference between Carbon

I agree, but I would argue that the main tone does tell you a lot, though the analysis at ttgearlab did help me see that it is limited.
  8. Uh oh, backhand rubber advice time

For something that performs like Vega Pro but is more reliable - Tibhar Genius. If I didn't like to loop/hit topspin hard close to the table, this would be the ideal. For entirely different animals with linear control, pushing blocking and great brushing spin but harder to obtain driving spin...

But it might not be - the point is that as long as someone is not using a rocket launcher, let him use whatever he wants. ALC blades are usually very reasonable blades compared to all wood. The HL5 actually has a vibration frequency very close to OFF- when I tested it.
  10. Lighter alternatives to MX-P

When I used MX-S and MX-P and OVA Tenergy 05, I found that OVA and MX-S and MX-P in 1.9-2.0 approximated Tenergy 05 in 2.1 weight wise and that there was really nothing I lost unless I Was loopdriving 20 feet off the table. So I have stayed with 1.9mm for the hardest ESN sponges since then...
  11. difference between Carbon

I know a guy who switched from a Grubba All+ to an HL5, he played USATT 2200 before the switch and he plays USATT 2200 now. So what is your point?
  12. Lighter alternatives to MX-P

Ilia is a pretty strong man with a pretty strong backhand. I wouldn't mess with his backhand regardless. His loops are like other people's loop drives.
  13. Lighter alternatives to MX-P

This is what I have always done with hard sponge heavy rubbers and it works fine.
  14. Save the Rainforest

Your post is entirely inappropriate. What he is saying is entirely fair - if you talk the talk, then walk the walk. I am a hypocrite when it comes to EJing - I tell people to stay with one blade then I change blades like I am losing sleep. And if you are starting to live sustainably, good for...

If that is your club, it is your club. It doesn't matter what the atmosphere is like. I sometimes play matches in my club at midnight too. If it is your club, which blade do you want? PM me your shipping address in a format that works for an international postage form :D.
  16. Topspin shots and swing timing

Knowing about the details is largely a waste of time. You learn the details by practicing and adjusting to the ball based on racket angle, contact point and swing trajectory changes while reading the incoming spin. The main thing is to start your racket higher vs topspin, and start it lower vs...
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I don't want a type of atmosphere - I just want a full match and something authentic - I have seen those single room clubs before and that is good enough if that is the club. IT's a competition - the 17th just means whoever gets closest by then gets the prizes. If that is a club match above...

MichalZ, is that your club? I said club for a reason as I want to see the atmosphere of the club. Takkyu, if that is not your club, and it is unlikely, you will win only if no one else presents club action.

  20. German League 2017/2018

Same with the December 3 results. Thanks again for all your work - don't take the corrections as a sign of ingratitude and nitpicking. I would correct it myself if I could.
